This video really whitewashes a lot of the bad that has happened since launch, it glosses over the fact that there have been REALLY bad seasons, broken dlc operators (pre patch), maps that defy any sense of balance.
it comes down to a very important thing - siege is a masterpiece of pacing. it's never too fast and never too slow, it has an almost hypnotic rythim in it's gameplay. the way you switch from atk, droning the defenders, trying to find the bomb, setting the camera up, going to the assault, then switching to def, pulling up those wonderfully animated sheets of metal, to cowering and listening to the walls slowly crumbling around you. it's brilliant and one of the rare exceptions where the publisher (the publisher part of ubisoft in this case) knew better than to let go, because who the fuck wouldn't play this?
Playing this game without sound is a huge disadvantage.

No game has to be perfect, but the fact they even had operation health says a lot. Plus I think all the operators are decent right now. Except tachanka maybe, but thats just a problem with a stationary character.
I agree that he glosses over a lot of the flaws and the trouble the game had during launch until now. Terrible netcode, hitboxes, bugs and glitches, etc. I love the game, but I do think it's been hampered by Ubisoft's questionable and sometimes predatory development and monetization decisions.

Sounds as great as a comeback as battlefield 4, from a shit launch to what could be considered one of the greater FPS avaliable on the market. Because EA lifted their hands and let Dice/Dice LA actually get to fixing the game
[sp]still better than bf1[/sp]
I actually mispredicted this one, from launch I was pretty sure this was DOA, it was broken and Ubisoft rarely gives a shit, but they just kept coming back for it, and I'm glad to actually have failed the assessment, it's a really fun game with a pretty okay monetization scheme.
I remember when this came out, I thought it was just a slower Counter Strike, so I skipped it. About a year ago I picked it up on sale on Steam, but still didn't play it until just a few weeks ago. I regret waiting so long to get into this game, it's pretty addictive.
Yeah, it is a slower, more tactical Counter Strike, but the different operators and their abilities help keep the game fresh. Having to think on your feet to counter act the other guy's special abilities and using teamwork to overpower the enemy is pretty awesome, especially with more destructable environment maps like House.
