Will it be free or paid?
[editline]2nd March 2011[/editline]
Probably paid.
Damn, I was hoping the guns would be used differently than bows.
Looks like they're pretty much doing what mod teams have already done.
Looks pretty cool. I like the new guns.
Doesn't look all that different from Warband. Won't buy
Looks good, I never bought Warband because I was pissed that I didn't get a full game after paying during the beta stages. I'll probably be getting this one.
Not worth it if you already have Warband. Mods have done this already.
As much as I want to say Mount and Blade is a good game made by a dedicated if small team, the whole thing is rather lazily made, not really worth its cost and to be honest, it isn't a good game to begin with, the combat aspects are kind of fun sometimes but the multiplayer they added in warband is shakey at best, the economy, or rather, the entire 'campaign' mode is dissapointing, lacking many features that most would consider essential for that kind of gameplay, the entire economy system is completely broken, pointless and time consuming, the benefits you get for massive amounts of money are minimal at best, the 'kingdom' mechanics are pointless and only serve to limit the rare good parts of gameplay by forcing you to do ridiculously tedious delivery missions and, god forbid, cow herding missions, and even though it's a very small team working on it, the graphics just aren't up to par, with textures that look like they were ripped from a ps1 game and animation that, to be honest, even a single person could probably improve upon greatly, the whole thing just feels slapped together with no love or passion put into it, the modding community rapidly declined after about a month and the only 'popular' mods (mods that got more than 30 downloads) were just quick reskins of bows to make them guns.

Modding community rapidly declined after a month?
What are you smoking, ever seen the mod "the last days" for mount and blade?
He probably repeats what he read in a completely uneducated internet review.
Also I'm totally getting this because I didn't get warband.
Fucking assy though that Taleworlds just dropped original MB and then sprouted out Warband for full price.

That i can agree on :saddowns:
There are so many mods that already do this, and by the looks of it they do a lot better jobs by adding new animations and poses.
Check out 1866: A Mount and Blade Western mod for Warband, it's great fun and already has all of those features.
Guns don't really fit into M&B that well.
Taleworlds dicks out with dropping the original MB and releasing Warband, and now they're just releasing what mods have done for money.

This is the most massive run-on sentence I've ever seen.
Also, I'll probably buy this game. I'm a sucker for Mount and Blade.
The thing that sells it for me is the setting, however I was hoping they would add some new big gameplay features. I'm a maybe on this.
Didn't that came out about, eh, 9.12.09 ?
Or is it some new version?
