He wrote critical texts on religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy, and science, using a distinctive German language style and displaying a fondness for metaphor and aphorism. Some of his key ideas include interpreting tragedy as an affirmation of life, an eternal recurrence (which numerous commentators have re-interpreted), a rejection of Platonism, and a repudiation of both Christianity (especially 19th-century) and Egalitarianism (especially in the form of Democracy and Socialism).
In 1889 he had a mental breakdown. He witnessed a horse being whipped in the street, flipped out, threw his arms around its neck and collapsed. He then began to write peculiar short works known as his 'madness letters'. Here's a taster of their contents: "Last year I was crucified by German doctors in a very drawn-out manner." He then went on to have three strokes, the last of which killed the sorry fellow. Thought you'd like to know about him, and share your thoughts about the man he was, or simply say he was into bestiality and the horse was his lover, whatevs.
Sounds like a nice guy
I love Nietzsche.
He was Madly in love You do better
Hawhawhaw, I heard he was crazy for me too. WAIT FUC
I'm sure that everyone has at least heard of him... I hope at least.
Guy has a boss mustache.
I wonder what kind of material people looked at while having a stroke back then.
i'm sure that everyone has at least heard of him... I hope at least.
he's that heathen who said god is dead. Wtf!
That Friedrich Nietzsche is a p cool guy, he makes sex with horses and doesn't afraid of anything.
HQRSE is Freidrich Nietzsche.
Interesting philosopher.
needs more info. A horse being whipped cant have been the only thing to make him mental unless he was extremely sensitive, if that was all it took he was probably weak minded, and yet a philosopher. The difference between this guy and many many others is that he wrote his thoughts down.
I still have no idea how to say his name
Since he has a moustache, he seems credible.
Since he has a moustache, he seems credible.
You rang?
I assumed it was Neeche.
Well, I suppose it can be either. I just remember my philosophy teacher using Nee-cha. Sort of dull 'ah' sounds, haha.
