Tina Johnson, who first came to public notice for accusing Senate candidate Roy Moore of grabbing her in his office in the early 1990s, said her home on Lake Mary Louise Road in Gadsden caught fire Tuesday morning. After neighbors and some utility workers called 911 shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Lookout Mountain Fire Department responded to the scene. By the time the flames were extinguished, Johnson and her family had lost everything they owned. "I am devastated, just devastated," said Johnson on Friday morning. "We have just the clothes on our backs." Nobody appears to have been harmed in the blaze; Johnson and her husband were at work, and her grandson was at school. "That fire is still under investigation by the Etowah County Arson Task Force," said Natalie Barton, public information officer with the Etowah County Sheriff's Department. "A suspect of interest is being spoken to. But there have been no charges, to my knowledge, related to the fire at this time." Barton later released a statement, saying, "The ongoing investigation does not lead us to believe that the fire is in any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him. More details will be released when warrants are obtained."
That's super fishy. I mean, even if it wasn't someone directly tied to Roy Moore, people don't typically burn people's houses down for no reason, especially making sure no one was home.
wait what, they have a county arson taskforce? how often does this shit happen
In related news, another Moore accuser Leigh Corfman has filed a defamation lawsuit against Moore for his statements about her https://www.vox.com/2018/1/4/16851512/leigh-corfman-roy-moore-defamation-lawsuit
witnesses report seeing a man riding away from the scene on a horse, drinking vodka out of a cowboy hat and periodically stopping to scream "why have you forsaken me" at the sky. his identity is currently unknown
wait what, they have a county arson taskforce? how often does this shit happen
Gotta be prepared in case the burning crosses get out of hand. This is Alabama, after all.
Thousands of dollars have already been raised
Gotta be prepared in case the burning crosses get out of hand.
wait what, they have a county arson taskforce? how often does this shit happen
Not like I know, but it could just be the title they gave to one person that knows how to investigate arson in their whole county plus a couple people that to be subordinates when necessary. It is much more fun to imagine there's just like 5 people wearing team jackets, geared up to go out there and investigate some arson every four days their county needs them though.
I just lost all respect for him
I just lost all respect for him
not sure why you had any for him to begin with, or why this (which isn't even confirmed to be his doing) was the last straw compared to everything else
I would argue that we should think of it as a coincidence but with the way Moore acted I almost doubt that he isn't somehow connected the man is so ridiculous that it's incredible
I don't currently believe he personally is connected, needs more evidence and a solid court case before I'll jump that far. But maybe some dumb redneck "vigilante" did something? I mean, the kinds of people who support Roy Moore have already been associated with or are the "second amendment people who might do something" on the far right who Trump was going on about, and that's enough to suspect it was politically motivated. It's less likely (not impossible) to have been ordered by Roy Moore him self, it wouldn't make sense to jump to ordering arson without first trying to silence her through less visible means, payout offers, legal harassment, etc. I also think that maybe a straight jump to hit man or similar high profile actions from a low profile would be more his reaction style to them not going well since Arson while no one is home strikes me as a more middle profile choice. The guy just doesn't strike me as the kind who is willing to be patient for what would otherwise be a more "reasonable" escalation from low profile to middle profile actions.
It's just God's fiery retribution. He loves Roy Moore, after all. Roy and his supporters told us so.

He's a wretched man and human being, but this is too bold and direct (vs saying shitty things). I'm much more willing to believe it was an avid supoorter of his. People should be looking for suspicious Twitter and Facebook posts about this incident, that usually ends up being revealing in these sorts of scenarios
Overheard my mom justifying this. You’d be amazed at the leaps trump supporters take
