Again. It’s up against other tech companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo and eBay.
http://consumerist.com/2014/03/18/have-fun-breaking-down-this-years-worst-company-in-america-bracket/
As you’ll see from the image below, there are several returning competitors, including previous champs EA and Comcast, three-time runner-up (and sort of winner from when it acquired Countrywide) Bank of America, the perennially hated Ticketmaster and PayPal (with their respective corporate counterparts LiveNation and eBay). There are also some new names on the list, like Koch Industries and lawsuit-happy seed company Monsanto. There’s also SeaWorld making a splash on WCIA 2014, presumably because people have been watching that Blackfish documentary. Voting will begin tomorrow, March 19. In the early rounds, each match will be open for votes for only a few hours. While they are open, polls will be placed at the top of the homepage and in a sidebar slot. We’ll post the results and update the bracket at the end of each day.
Oh god please please be EA again. Hopefully a third kick in the balls will actually work out and they won't fuck with any of the development of the new battlefront
EA's gonna win. Again. Even though there are much worse companies, this is an online poll in which gaming communities will dictate a majority of the vote.
They haven't done anything bad, Titanfall was a success, SimCity can now be played offline (just in time for this by the way), and BF4 is continually beta. EA has no choice but to give up its golden turd.
EA's gonna win. Again. Even though there are much worse companies, this is an online poll in which gaming communities will dictate a majority of the vote.
every single time EA has got it, they've responded to it and been affected by it and every time, there's people commenting on it complaining oh no we should totally give it to bank of america again, so that nothing will happen at all because unlike EA they dont fucking care about some stupid online poll
Verizon. Why isn't AT&T on this list, with their stupid lobbying about having the internet in their back pocket? edit: wait they are, hopefully AT&T gets the message
EA's gonna win. Again. Even though there are much worse companies, this is an online poll in which gaming communities will dictate a majority of the vote.
Welcome to the internet. People who hate game devs use the internet more than people who hate corrupt banking corporation #24346 or evil oil baron #1126. On to of that if any other company but EA won they wouldn't care while EA and its fans get hilariously upset which makes for good entertainment.

Does anyone really believe a huge bank will care about some internet poll?
I want EA to win, if only to see their reactions.
Besides EA, TWC, Comcast, SeaWorld and Verizon... what have the other companies done?
I want EA to win, if only to see their reactions.
every time they get it, good things happen which is why they need to get it again remember guys, EA is just a video game publisher! they dont affect peoples jobs, lives, etc, because they just deal in video games, and video games are for nerds
EA's gonna win. Again. Even though there are much worse companies, this is an online poll in which gaming communities will dictate a majority of the vote.
Also a lot of voters aren't from the US, and never deal with most of the other companies (or even know about them).
I'm trying to decide between Seaworld and Monsanto. One of you guys help me.
Apple not on bracket 0/10
EA vs Time Warner Cable in round 1 though. It's tough competition but I think they can do it.
I dunno about you guys but I'm voting Comcast.
Besides EA, TWC, Comcast, SeaWorld and Verizon... what have the other companies done?
Bad service, immoral stuff, or just having shitty products. I don't know why CVS is there, though. The only thing I don't like about them is that their coke is sticky.
I wish EA and TWC weren't against each other in the first round, they both could go far
I'm trying to decide between Seaworld and Monsanto. One of you guys help me.
since Monsanto actually made the list there really isn't any other option that can be made in good conscience
Another consumer poll that doesn't matter that EA will win because of oblivious video gamers and /v/ that will result in another useless marketing letter from EA who shouldn't even be taking something that lists Koch Industries and Bank of America next to Kmart and CVS seriously. [editline]18th March 2014[/editline]
since Monsanto actually made the list there really isn't any other option that can be made in good conscience
Two companies that have both done great and terrible work. Good matchup
Besides EA, TWC, Comcast, SeaWorld and Verizon... what have the other companies done?
Walmart pays their employees very little, treats them like dirt at absolutely every turn, and tries to keep them silent when they leak their practices to the public or try to protest. Monsanto does a LOT of bad stuff, including but not limited to: selling genetically modified crops at extreme detriment to the environment; attempting to patent crop gene sequences and selective pig breeding; displacing half of farmers in Argentina; and driving Indian farmers to suicide through selling them bad crops and putting them in debt. and that's not even the half of it - when i say they've done a lot of shit, i mean they've done a LOT of shit. other ones i don't know so much about.
Does that spot mean anything though? I'm pretty sure there are a lack of 20-30 year olds reading the Consumerist everyday; and that anyone else older wouldn't give two shits about a video game company doing some practice that first-world problems a small portion of the gaming community.
It doesn't mean anything, it's just the one time of year that impotent video gamers get to exercise their ignorance to get EA to make a statement about how they will "be better" with absolutely no follow through.
Another consumer poll that doesn't matter that EA will win because of oblivious video gamers and /v/ that will result in another useless marketing letter from EA who shouldn't even be taking something that lists Koch Industries and Bank of America next to Kmart and CVS seriously. [editline]18th March 2014[/editline] Two companies that have both done great and terrible work. Good matchup
Monsanto is the closest thing to the god damn umbrella corporation in real life. They're evil.
Monsanto does a LOT of bad stuff
I'm willing to give Monsanto a wider berth than I apparently should because of the nature of the GMO industry but you know something is wrong when a company has two separate wiki pages for controversies :v:
EA's gonna win. Again. Even though there are much worse companies, this is an online poll in which gaming communities will dictate a majority of the vote.
Pretty much this.
Anywhere we can build our bracket or will we have to edit the photo?
The reason why these votes aren't taken serious is because idiots keep using media/videogames as a reason to raise up EA and shit like that.
GM has a pretty good chance of winning in light of recent events
I'm hoping Cumcast will win, simply for gobbling up TWC.
Comcast please
