I was walking home from school and thought the smoke was a cloud because it was so big. I cant believe that no one's hurt yet.

I'm not from a big place and the only reason I know of 5-alarm is from that simpsons episode where Homer trips out on chillies. How bad is this on an international scale ? Firefighters don't get the respect they deserve.

That's pretty fucked up, Do you expect it to be city sweeping or can it be put under control?

Some updates- Sounds like the building collapsed, with crews still working to contain the fire. It did spread to a nearby building (UCSF property) that was contained. Good thing it seems that the building wasn't occupied. Sucks for the residents across the street though.
