Someone I know called up Jittlov and asked if he was allowed to upload his old movie to Youtube after he spent a bunch of time pretty much remastering the entire film without physical access to the negatives. Amazingly the response was along the lines of "yeah go ahead as most of the other licensing has lapsed. If it gets taken down call me back and I'll see what I can do."
It never saw a DVD release, let alone a remastered release, so it was only available on VHS and laserdisc. Lets take a a bit of time out of the day to appreciate Mike's efforts. HE did do pretty much all of the editing and effects himself.

You know I didn't expect to like this in fact I have gotten in the habit of being impatient in judging things so I skipped 20 minutes in.
The movie quickly disarmed me with its whimsical amateur charm though. Everyone in this film looks like they are having a great time.
Apparently, someone already uploaded this movie, almost 5 years ago.

I watch that short video of him speeding around almost every year. It's so rad.
The original short is one of my favorite shorts of all time.

This is what quality stop motion looks like. And the kicker is that it's done without CG. It's just practical effects, and creative film splicing. Absolutely mandatory viewing for anyone interested in film.
