Well a few years back (1996) Martin Bryants Shot Up Port Arthur in Southern Tasmania, Australia.
In response John Howard Banned Semi-Auto Rifles, shotguns and pistol Magaines over 10 rounds. He also banned the import of Magazines over 10 rounds, Semi-auto Rifles/shotguns (For Cat C and D owners) and Airsoft.
John howard now has no power and groups of people are pushing to get Airsoft Unbanned in Australia.
What do you think?
It was a knee-jerk reaction that pretty much gave all of his supporters wood over "supposedly" protecting the populace. How the hell did airsoft get lumped in with all of those and paintball not?

I can't understand why paintballers are so hostile towards Airsofters. Airsoft is practically the same thing as woodsball, just with different guns, different ammo, and more milsim. They must be dumbass speedballers. Speedball is the dumbest shit know to man.

I played paintball before for my birthday. Was pretty fun. Although it meant I could no longer insult this one kid at my school I can still insult him personally :)
