Their voices are too monotone..
action scenes are badass though
Oh god, the voice acting is cringeworthy and those "space bikes" look retarded. Why do the covenant have green blood? Why can the Spartans do backflips? This isn't Halo.
I don't know if this is really good or really, really bad.
Space bikes make everything better.

Realism flies out the window when you're talking about gigantic super soldiers in huge metal suits zipping around the universe stopping aliens from doing dastardly deeds.
The spartans faces look somewhat silly, and :wtc: at the combat space motorcycles?
Diggin' the Doom movie style "ITS LIKE YO' ACTUALLY PLAYIN' THE GAME!" at 7:21 in part 1. I'm be sarcastic.
I wish they show master chief face.
I was going to say that at least it doesn't look as dumb as the anime but then I saw the space bikes with missiles and shit.
What the hell. You'd think with all the money they got from the Halo franchise, Bungie could get some decent designers, voice actors, etc.

They'd probably make him look like a 12 year old, I think it's best not to find out.
This is awful. It sounds like it's dubbed, the voiceacting is horrid, and there are so many canon errors, like:

This isn't legit. It's fan-made.
It's cheesy, stupid and not in the least bit realistic, but I have to admit unlike The Babysitter I actually had some fun with this one. Curious is right, the voice acting and characterization isn't particularly strong but I smiled at Halsey's dialogue. Seemed right out of one of the books.
To my knowledge, what Bungie did is give permission to several different Anime studios to do their own tie-ins to the Halo franchise. There are I think 5 more coming so the odds are at least 1 will be really good. And a lot of the appeal of the Halo series is that it is actually quite realistic, which is why I felt a sort of disconnect with this. Though I do think a possibly explanation is that they're spoofing how crazy-awesome the Spartans are supposed to be.
Also I don't think this fits anywhere in Halo's considerable-sized canon but I haven't brushed up on the books in a recent while, long enough to forget any possible loophole this might be exploiting to justify it's existence.

Well that explains it.
Though I do have to admit the actual modeling is very well done.

Agreein' with Lithe, Bungie said themselves that this is all canon except TOEI's episode.
4:51 - All stories except for TOEI's take place in the universe and are canon. TOEI's is not. It's meant to be a fun and silly exploration of Halo universe.
Reminded me very much of Starship Troopers 3D cartoon. Also, at the end it started running into no less than "anime logic"!
Which did TOEI produce again? Anyway, I see no serious canon-rapage here. Simply small errors, probably for the Rule of Cool. That's always going to bother the anal-retentive guys like us who've read the books and know the lore, but it's more than enjoyable if you can look past that.
Even if it does at times look more like Star Wars what with the crazy-awesome space battles with bright flashing lights going off everywhere and inexplicable sword fights, this is still very well done with high production values. I eagerly await more to come.
It's a trap

The whole thing seemed a bit like an anime, but still it was bad ass, I liked it alot.
I tend to enjoy the Halo books and universe more than the games, especially after ODST...
They looked really stupid in that hallway shooting scene, one handing guns and not looking at their targets. They voice acting is not that good, and the actual lines are very cheesy. I was hoping for more. And the Halo video game dialogue references where really poorly placed.
I feel like they've turned Halo into a Saturday morning cartoon. I mean, that's G.I. Joe stuff right there.

Master Chief now will tell you why drugs are bad:
*Que anti-drugs think safe ad... except with Marines and Rocket Launcher-wielding Master chief.*
That was so animeeee
Seriously I thought Spartans were meant to be brute force badasses not ninjas doing backflips and fighting in perfectly choreographed sequences.
Who the fuck uses interlacing?
That was....gay

they are ment to be Stealthy and quick yet powerful.
Could have been done better
Pretty much what you'd expect with such a forced, franchise fueled production.
Could be worse, mind you.
But at the end of the day, it's as hamfisted as the games
Why are they falling out of the ship at 1:35? /facepalm
