Will they ever learn? Partners in crime Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand apologise for 'Sachsgate' - then crack tasteless jokes about Jimmy Savile sex scandal
- Pair lost their jobs in 2008 after making lewd hoax calls to Andrew Sachs about his granddaughter
- Brand has appeared on Ross's ITV chat show due for broadcast tomorrow night
- The friends apologised for their pranks but still laughed about it
- On Savile, Brand said: 'Can we just talk a while about how everyone from the 70s was a nonce?'

"controversial comedians say controversial things"
a* journalism once again, brought to you by the same people behind masterpieces such as "why you should hate immigrants" and "celebrity gets tits out"
So...they addressed the problem in their typical manner? Is calling someone a Nonce a slang for a paedophile?
What did he say this time? Russell Brand made an appearance on BBC Radio 1 early on Friday morning
A* journalism

Yes: Nonce (slang), a British and Australian slang term for a sex offender, usually a child sexual abuser

uhhh, is it? I live in the UK and I've never heard this tbh.
I don't understand why people get offended over these two. People need to get over themselves.
giga_king oughta be proud of his old man

I have, but more as meaning someone's a creep or probably a stalker.

A few years ago they were slated as offensive for that prank phone call they did, BBC did get like 200+ complaints I believe. I can see this as being true.
EDIT: on review though I can totally see dailymail readers being nonces since the dailymail does report on underage celebrities and use a weird context of language whilst doing so. V:v:V

Yep, it definitely is a slang word for a paedo, you hear it thrown around quite a lot down here.
Might be a more southern word though, like how there are some northern insults I've not heard.
So is the Daily Mail the National Enquirer of Britain?
So is the Daily Mail the National Enquirer of Britain?
It is the lowest standard of "journalism" possible. The epitome of all that is wrong with tabloid newspapers. It holds the position of worst tabloid possible, combined with the Sun and Express.
Sun's all tits, express is all racism and Diana, mail is all racism and cancer.

Like 12 photos and like a ton of comments. What the hell?
I always heard nonce used as a synonym of idiot.
Tasteless and offensive are two good words to describe the Daily Mail.

Nonce just means bloody idiot.
Nonce just means bloody idiot.

In the United Kingdom, the term nonce is a slang word used to refer to a sex offender or child sexual abuser. Although the term traditionally referred specifically to sex offenders, it has now become a more general term of abuse and is approximately synonymous with "idiot"

I always heard nonce used as a synonym of idiot.
Yeah, that's the only context i've ever heard it in
