Just thought you'd let the hostages die horribly? :v:
Lol'd at the nod.
I want this game...after I get Skyrim and Saints Row 3.
I THOUGHT THE CROSSBOW WAS SILENT, goddamn it
I don't get it?
I can never get around into continuing my Deus Ex playthrough for some reason

How can you not get it? He just ran straight in and no one noticed.
So he used up all his energy on cloaking and let both the hostages die

He ran straight through but he was using cloak and silent run.
I feel bad that I love Deus Ex: Human Revolution but haven't played the first game. I want to but at the same time I fear the gameplay might be too old and rigid.

It certainly is held back by the technological limits at that time and the shooting is lacking, but it's aged really well and the sense of accomplishment you get from it is even greater than in Human Revolution.
Also, the AI oscilates between being smart and engaging and not caring about seeing the player walking right in front of them, but that actually makes the stealth more exciting and creates some pretty tense and awesome escapes.

The AI in HR is too advanced for it's own good. Sometimes too much guidance is bad.
