Hello there creative heads of FP,
I've been trying to make something of this logo:

But sadly I just cant make it look good. I want to keep the font + yellow and would really love any suggestions and/or help, so I attached the PSD for you guys to do something with it if you want to.

Well it's just text with a gradient overlay and a stroke, nothing impressive.
Try actually making a logo that reflects what the community is about.
Here's an example of a logo study done by a friend:

It's very boring.
Try doing some research on other banners and logos, look at what they are doing right and, i'm not saying emulate them but find some inspiration from them.
I know that it sucks, thats the reason I came here to ask for advice :downs:
And tbh, your logo looks to "old" in my opinion
