Why must it be fake? It wouldn't be too hard to legitimately do, as long as you actually find the tape in 20 years time.

The video tape was real. But he couldn't have played it so well afterwards. The afterwards recording was made up, not the video he looked at

He could fake it by recording another kid to have a scripted conversation with him.
I think it's much more likely he simply took the footage from the tape and then chopped it up and used it how ever he saw fit.

I'm aware of how it [I]could[/I] be faked, I'm just saying it doesn't necessarily have to be fake. Chances are he found the tape, and cut up the footage to stage a conversation with himself. Not exactly difficult to do :)
Regardless of how it was done, it was really funny, I liked it.

I think it's pretty obvious that he had to do that; it's quite a brilliant idea really. I'd like to see people do this more. What I find most interesting is how much of his personality remained the same, (How he responds to himself, speech mannerisms, etc) he's just matured into an adult.
If that's actually a drawing he did, he should pick it back up.

Which is why there are pictures of him from '92 to '12 showing the progress of change in his look in the
beginning of the video
He probably wrote a script when he recorded the tape and made it so his future self could 'respond'.
If I had that idea I couldn't wait so long before doing it. I wonder if he forgot about it or was always counting down the time until he could 'reply' :v:
