Day 47 - Progress on the surface is going well, and the colony continues to expand as more and more citizens arrive each day, and more supplies are unpacked to building the accommodation. It appears to be the long winter of this planet, at -63 Degrees the people on the ground are finding it tough to become used to the harsh environment. It is a nice and easy post to be posted at, all I have to do is allow ships to dock with the Station or be allowed access to the planet atmosphere. Sure as hell beats being on the other side of the Empire fighting alien races, the outer reaches of the solar system are uninhabited. - Admiral Coin's Log
The Colony expands as the Ka'mais Empire does, and reports of valuable minerals on the planets in the area are drawing attention away from the more habitable planets, and towards planets such as this. No hostile life and plenty of minerals is just what the Empire needs.
[sp]The real reason it is called Coin's Choice is because me and Slice used a coin to decide whether to do PPW or PW[/sp]
Alright, let's do this.
I can't see the image
As soon as you fix the image of course.. :v:

There we go.

[sp]The real reason it is called Coin's Choice is because me and Slice used a coin to decide whether to do PPW or PW[/sp]
And i was the Coin :3:
We used it after that.
Oh wait yeh, we used it to decide on various other things, sorry Evil :v:
:c

A various clutter of vessels arrive at the site, unlike the younger empire of Ka'mais these beings are far more ancient, predating even that of the human race. Long ago, they left their home planet to freeze over in their wake as they clawed out forwards the stars, as ambitious as the Ka'mais and now, they're mare aging ruins of themselves.
But now, they return to their home in the shadow of the wars of the universe in hope of starting again, a new beginning, but their hopes of returning home easily are quickly crushed as they enter the system and discover these aliens infesting it.
"Aliens? HERE? HERESY!" a rash voice echoes through the minds of the passengers in the cargo ship as they discuss this new discovery. "They are infesting our home world, this cannot go unpunished, we must act now and obliterate them!" "Look at that, they even got a colony in the holy mountain regions, how cute.."
The conversation is cut short as everyone collects their thoughts and agrees that these aliens must be exterminated and begins discussing the means of doing this.

Words
Although these aliens are on the same sheet they seem different form the ones in the mining PPW.
Does it matter? No. Shut up.
Although these aliens are on the same sheet they seem different form the ones in the mining PPW.
Different splinter group, now stop complaining. :v:
Does it matter? No. Shut up.
Just I'd point it out.

"We appear to have picked up anomalies on the radar, and I have given the order to investigate - at least it relieves the boredom" - Admiral Coin's Log (Only Log made today)
Construction of a space port begins.

The decision is made and the small fleet moves into attack formation, the two front "shield" ships move in front of the two other ships, making it all look like one big mass while also protecting the more important carrier and transport from direct enemy fire.
In the middle of this the carrier launches it's heavy drone fighters and one constructor drone for the bigger constructor ship, which carries it down the atmosphere to set up a planetary shipyard and surface to space weapons..
Hopefully this lasts long enough for them to meet in the middle :v:
I just realized how incredibly bad the engine exhaust looks in the atmosphere.

Go away. :colbert:
Just I'd point it out.
I miss the Bad Reading rating.
I miss the Bad Reading rating.
Its not bad reading its bad spelling
Its not bad reading its bad spelling
Oh god.
Oh god.

I'm not saying thats what the rating was called if thats what you think.
It's both to be accurate.

Responding to the various smaller craft flying out of the larger craft, the Light Cruiser scrambles it's fighters to meet what appears to be hostile.
Not much else, just some more building.

The fighters form up, the machinery inside clicking in excitement as they register the alien fighters it's probably the only and perhaps the last thing they'll ever feel and to be honest, they couldn't care less about feeling anything else in their short destructive lifespans.
On the surface, construction begins as the ice is slowly melted down and the peaceful mountains will once again be home to countless factories spewing out toxins in the atmosphere, there's a reason the planet turned this cold..
Toxins in the air tend to result in the climate warming. Now, if there's debris/soot/ash in the air, then yes, it blocks out the sun and cools the climate.

Because of Ka'mais protocols, actions taken by this unknown fleet are deemed aggressive, and the Light Cruiser fires a torpedo, more of a warning than an actual attack.
Construction etc

The shield ships suddenly accelerate by massive amounts, purple streaks appear along the hulls as Heavy metal slugs are fired as the last act of the controllers of these ships as the sudden acceleration is simply too much for any organic life to handle, resulting in unpleasant messy deaths inside the ships.
Simply put, the ships are now unmanned and heading at absolute maximum at the enemy ships, this could just end up being a real mess if they hit..
While on the surface, the construction of the pad is finished and the drone helps out the bigger ship to disintegrate the mountain to a more flat form.

Seeing the oncoming danger, the two Destroyers quickly attempt to avoid the oncoming projectiles and enemy craft. The top one firing a shot at one of the enemy ships. The Torpedo smashes into the enemy ship, creating a large explosion. The First fighter weaves in and out, managing to reach the other side, whilst the other collides with the enemy craft, and the other hits one of the metal slugs. Admiral Coin makes the only decision he thinks may save the life of his crew, he goes head on. The ship would never be able to get above or beneath the enemy ships in time. In hope of the explosions creating enough room to get through without too much damage, the admiral orders full power the forward shields and engines.
Sooo pretty. :buddy:
Damn it you made a mess Yusk, took ages to clean up. :v:

The shield ships are both split in half, leaving them with one engine and a bad trajectory - The upper one catapults into the hull of the vessel trying to evade just that, while the one below heads straight for the missile thing.
Behind them the transport ship slows down and lags behind while the carrier takes evasive maneuvers as well as directing it's drones to open fire at the lone fighter.
To add to all this madness, in the the middle of it all, the navigation computer on the upper shield ship decides to reboot and finds itself in a tricky situation, making the best of it, it transmits a big "Uuuuh?" over to all the ships around it before it meets it's unfortunate faith.

The First Destroyer manages to scrap away from the contact with not too much damage, and the shot fired heads towards the unprotected Cargo Ship. It then launches several boarding pods towards the Carrier Ship. The Light Cruiser fires a missle, and fires a shot at the Carrier Ship
Loads of other stuff I forgot to mention.
