Got to watch Washington gay marriage closely
Hey maryland's results finally came in. Go us.
Good job for everyone else too, eh
How did Florida go blue, yet hold backwards opinions that Obama is against.
Oh shit, glad to see that Prop 30 finally tipped to pass. It wasn't looking good for the first few hours. Seems the death penalty is still in though, what a shame.

I actually petitioned people on behalf of the YES campaign for prop 34, so it is rather disappointing to see it fail.
Is it just me or does the 'Limit Obamacare' ballot in Wyoming seem a bit biased in the phrasing?
Calling it 'Obamacare' alone is really something invented by opponents, and then the details are:
This measure amends the state constitution to declare that citizens of Wyoming have the right to make their own health care decisions and allows the state to act to "preserve these rights from undue government influence." A "FOR" vote opposes Obamacare and amends the state constitution with new language. An "AGAINST" vote supports Obamacare and does not amend the state constitution.
I don't really know the background on this? From the way it's worded it makes it sound like people would be disallowed from seeking private healthcare on their own or something? The ballots in other states seem to be for the same thing and merely say (roughly) "You won't have to buy health insurance." which seems very different.
(The ballot passed with 77% for limiting)
It's a good day for Facepunch.

Good day for the young generation.

Good day for people with working brains.
Tis a good day when progress in any direction is successfully seen and thought upon without closed minded people there to stop it.

Because Florida has the largest population of elderly voters in the United States; 17.3% of the population is retired. Some have voted for Democrat their entire lives, even if they don't agree or don't understand some of the other policies that Democrats support.
Prop 34 in Cali to repeal the death penalty failed. :(
The scale of 'things' reminded me of this:

I didn't even realise that it was also the 2012 election in the video until I went looking for it again.
Woah, I wasn't informed Americans were voting on all these propositions yesterday too.
Smells like progress.
cumon cali step it up
November 06, 2012: A day that will live in infamy for conservatives.
BTW, where's the Puerto Rico referendum?
I can't even believe Florida managed to shoot down both the asinine abortion/funding issues. Curious to see if the "Freedom of Religion" bill proposed made it. To the uninformed, it's just a cover for allowing religious institutions to be given state funding.
What's with the Limit Obamacare votes seriously why wouldn't you want healthcare
and jesus fuck the abortion laws
america stop
that rules but I'm honestly shocked at how many people are still against marijuana and gay marriage
wow Massachusetts really likes its pot
If pot was made legal and taxed in my state my county alone would revitalize the economy.
[sub][sub]I hope that doesn't count as toxx.[/sub][/sub]
It's like a new dawn is upon us; now we just need to keep up the fight and ensure the progress for a better nation!

I'm bummed on that one, it's cheaper to keep people for life then to kill them, hoped there was bi-partisan support.
And prop 35 passed, I didn't read the fine details but from what I've skimmed over it's wording is vague. I was joking to a friend about jailbait trolls getting people sent to jail with disney force magic, she's libertarian and a star wars fan so it wasn't her night and kept hitting me with a book after each joke.
If only Texas would allow same sex marriage. I know a lot of my friends would be very happy.
but it's Texas so it's never going to happen.
Wow, America made the whole world proud today. All that stuff, Obama's reelection plus that Arizona representative thing. Awesome to see such a ton of steps forward.
Minnesota's was too damn close for comfort

Alright, could someone explain toxx? I'm confused.
Prop 30 passed... FML

A Something Awful memeber named Toxx said he's duct tape his balls if a thread reached 5000 posts, and when he didn't prove he did it someone banned him for lying.
Michigan's dictator law was repealed too.
Actually it's called "Emergency Manager" who comes in and takes control of a city/town, and then fires all elected officials.
