What a cute little oddity.
Dunno if Facepunch would be interested in Techmoan's stuff, but he does a lot of obscure tech from every generation. If you like LGR's hardware reviews, you might like his stuff too.
Techmoan is fantastic, I actually started watching him because for some reason I've found his dash cam reviews very relaxing. While he doesn't do those often anymore he does still put out interesting videos.

I find his stuff on audio formats really interesting, and I'm the most dull person when it comes to my audio set up (PC feeding speakers).

I can honestly say he hasn't made an audio/video format video I haven't enjoyed. Its all very well researched, and even goes out to buy real equipment. Its just a shame the copyright police ruin the ability to have proper audio demos.

I'm kinda similar, except IDGAF about the dashcam reviews and watch primarily his videos on antique audio tech. I'm not even an audiophile but it's intriguing as fuck to see all the stuff that used to be big, the stuff that failed to get big, and I like how he's not afraid to crack the players open and show us the bobbins and such inside them.

95% of big audio devices are kind of designed to get taken apart for service, even our 2008 Yamaha amp is to some degree serviceable.

but tbh I too wouldn't even think about going as far as he does, forget one step when putting it back together and nothing will work. Too risky.

Mmhm, and he does it to 40+ year old failed format devices that don't have a readily available part supply nor a very good replacement unit supply to boot.
