Okay I Love the song Fade Into You by Mazzy Star and ungodly amount, but I need help. I can't figure out what it means, I really can't. I've tried and tried, and I went to songmeansings and suprise they're all useless, who would have thought. Anyway, anyone have an idea? Lyrics + video link below.
I want to hold the hand inside you
I want to take a breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you and see the truth
You live your life
You go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go black
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors you eyes with what's not there.
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger's light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then it's smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew x2
I'm going to say it sounds like a love song.

Where he loves her and she doesn't love him.

Female vocalist so I'm guessing, you mean it the other way around. But I guess what I really don't understand is the first three lines. They're just so... Unique I suppose.

Yeah, if people want the meaning, listening to the song sometimes doesn't mean much, I just go by what the lyrics say.
To me it just sounds like a typical unrequited love song, but with the "lover" believing or wanting some sort of spiritual connection between them. However, the person they love seems to be alone and wants to be loved, but they don't realise that they're already seen that way by whoever's point of view the song's coming from.
That's how I see it.
