(Reuters) - North Korea fired four short-range missiles over the sea off its east coast on Thursday, a media official at South Korea's Defence Ministry said, while providing no information on the purpose of the firing. North Korea fired the missiles at 5:42 p.m. (0342 ET) from a mountain site just north of the border with South Korea, the official said. Launches by the North of short-range missiles are not uncommon as part of military exercises. The firing came days after the beginning of annual joint U.S. and South Korean military exercises which the North routinely denounces as preparation for war. The North was angered this month when a nuclear-capable U.S. B-52 bomber made a sortie over South Korea, though the flight did not trigger a sharp escalation of military tension. The South's Yonhap News Agency said the missiles fired on Thursday were believed to be Scud short-range missiles, with a range of about 200 km (125 miles), which means they can hit targets in South Korea but can not reach Japan.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/27/us-korea-north-missiles-idUSBREA1Q0U520140227 I guess they gotta keep in the media somehow.
I bet somebody forgot to get Kim Jong Il a new calendar this year so they just gave him last years one again complete with missile launch dates, execution dates for dissenters, and make-up dates with South Korea.
Winky-blinky the one-eyed sergeant is firing blanks.
They're probably trying to aim for the u.s but their missiles always fall short
And there goes the last of North Koreas missiles
Oh no... I have failed the great leader! What is my punishment!?
bring back those missiles we launched into the sea. Without diving equipment.
that'll show aquaman what-for
The Kims are the biggest model rocket enthusiasts I've ever seen.
Awww mannnnn, now they gotta make NEW ones to replace the ones they shot off! That shit's expensive! Oh well, I guess they could dip into Un's ice cream funds.
China we lost those rockets you gave us but it wasn't my fault I swear.
North Korea is just a soap opera on a global scale.
What if this whole time North Korea was firing rockets and missiles into the ocean in order to fulfill their true purpose: they're killing giant sea creatures before they can attack us first.

Those aren't short range missiles, they're North Korean long-range missiles. :v:
Our great leader wanted to surf, so he made his army shoot the missiles to the sea to get some sick waves.
Take that water!
Gotta keep that sea at bay.
There's easier ways to fish, North Korea.
"Our long range missile test has failed" "Just call it a short range test, no one will know"
Reminds me of how Caligula had his soldiers attack the ocean because he was mad at Neptune
Maybe their plan is to just build a bridge of used missiles and rockets so that they can walk across to invade the U.S.

He also cut off the heads of his engineers, cause hey, autocracy rocks, innit?
