Republicans' satisfaction with the direction of the U.S. is at its highest point since 2007, according to a new poll. A Gallup poll finds that 61 percent of Republicans are satisfied with the direction of the country. One in four Republicans say they are very satisfied, and 36 percent say they are somewhat satisfied. Nearly one-quarter of Republicans say they are somewhat dissatisfied with the direction of the country and 15 percent say they are very dissatisfied, however.Just 6 percent of Democrats in the new survey say they are satisfied with the country's direction. Sixty-eight percent say they are very dissatisfied and another 24 percent say they are somewhat dissatisfied.
http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/369011-poll-republican-satisfaction-with-nations-direction-highest-in-decade
No wonder they are with that orange ape in power as well as the repubs having control over the senate. In addition everything that muslim Obama did is now a thing of the past, and they can come freely into the limelight with their abhorrent, stuck in the past views.
if you take a gander over at fivethirtyeight, you'll see that since the remarks about "shithole" countries came out and the accusations of racism, Trump's popularity has risen to the highest it's been since September. let that sink in
So basically republicans right now are like that dog sitting in a room on fire, while melting, going "This is fine."

I have plenty of stories about how nuts my mom is

She had a really crappy life up until she got married to my dad, has a boatload of health problems, and just recently lost her sister. Not to armchair psychologist here but I feel that she supports Trump so much because it’s the only victory she’s had in a while. But I get so close and stop myself from telling her that a majority of the shit she had to deal with and currently does is because of Trump/Reagan style policies regarding taxation, healthcare and other shit.

So a decreased life expectancy, increased debt, being the laughing stock of the world, riding straight into ecologic disasters, a job market that fucks pretty much anyone under 30 not belonging to the top 10% within the next 20 years, a health crisis, a military budget more bloated than ever and a major next housing crisis around the corner is a good direction according to most republicans. Are most republicans braindead?

Regardless of what party you are in usually when the official you voted for gets into office polls like this show a surge. Look at President Bush, the survey shows a surge in satisfaction. As soon as Obama got elected satisfaction went down for republicans and surged for democrats. To me this just shows we are divided as a people who fall for the team sports trap, which is being exploited.

Are most republicans braindead?
Don't forget a ballooning debt stock with 50% containing unpayable student loans, institutionalized racism, sexism and homophobia being at its highest in recent decades. Social programs being dismantled, immigration being cracked down on under the guise of "Making America Great Again" while only affecting innocent people such as those under the DACA program. The wealth being "redistributed" to the 1% again under the premise of trickle down economics and "benefiting the middle and lower class". Pedophiles running for government positions while being backed by an entire political party. A presidential pardoned racist running for Senate. A complete and utter war against the environment, reducing the size of protected land for oil tycoons to drill into sacred monuments. The censorship of progressive government agencies who's only job were research into betterment and sustainability. Continued dismantling of the national parks services. Oh let's not forget the opiate epidemic that the government refuses to tackle because it affects the poor and anything that culls the poor is good fuckin' news to them. I could go on for fucking hours at the shit this buffoon has done in the last year while Republicans pat themselves on the back for doing a good fuckin' job.
So a decreased life expectancy
Fake News
increased debt,
The Democrats increased it more
being the laughing stock of the world,
The world respects us now, see China and North Korea
riding straight into ecologic disasters
Job killing regulations slashed
a job market that fucks pretty much anyone under 30 not belonging to the top 10% within the next 20 years,
BUT WALL STREET
a health crisis
Caused by Obamacare
a military budget more bloated than ever
Support our troops! I've tried having this discussion with family members in the past and they just bypass it completely to talk about how bad Clinton is and how Obama's birth certificate is doctored.

[editline]16th January 2018[/editline] Wtf reading the quoted text without what he quoted really does sound like the incoherent ramblings of Trump
So basically republicans right now are like that dog sitting in a room on fire, while melting, going "This is fine."
this edit's been floating around a good while already [t]https://i.imgur.com/4X8jfSX.png[/t]
It even has the infamous one word at the end. Sad!!!!
this edit's been floating around a good while already [t]https://i.imgur.com/4X8jfSX.png[/t]
I believe someone also put it succinctly when they said "A Trump supporter would gladly let him shit in thier mouth if a liberal had to smell it"
So basically republicans right now are like that dog sitting in a room on fire, while melting, going "This is fine."
The Republican Party is currently composed of three types of people: those whose sole reason for voting for and supporting Trump is to have a laugh at our entire nation's expense because "dem libturds lol", those who are so set in their ways that they recoil with fear at the very mention of equality and basic human decency, and the party's corporate sponsors.
this edit's been floating around a good while already [t]https://i.imgur.com/4X8jfSX.png[/t]
People from outside are laughing at him from the window, while the house fire causes a small grass fire. No reason to worry, it's an isolated problem among other small grass fires. Optimistic on the fire being controlled they keep laughing. Those fires won't spread, they can easily be extinguished, everything is under control. Right?
This is pretty normal for Republicans. GOP approval never really dipped for Nixon even in the depths of Watergate
if you take a gander over at fivethirtyeight, you'll see that since the remarks about "shithole" countries came out and the accusations of racism, Trump's popularity has risen to the highest it's been since September. let that sink in
In their defense, they have been using rasmusen lately for their daily poll, next week or so when a more reputable poll comes out it will drop back down, even weighted a change of 1% isnt indicative of a long term trend
This is pretty normal for Republicans. GOP approval never really dipped for Nixon even in the depths of Watergate
This just worries me that in the total off chance that Trump is actually removed from office that the new generation of the hard right will take it upon themselves to commit violence
I just don't know how we are going to come back together as a country. Republicans don't seem to care how divisive they are or how bad the world objectively is getting, its like two brothers fighting over a TV remote, as long as they have the remote everything is awsome. We are a house seriously divided
People from outside are laughing at him from the window, while the house fire causes a small grass fire.
what the fuck does this even mean
It's an allegory that self-contained dilemmas thought as containable and their spread a nuisance, may actually not burn themselves out, or be fully tameable. Sooner or later, problems contained in a nation may unexpectedly progress as a out-of-context dilemma.
For what it's worth mentioning, the poll also concludes that more than one-out-of-three Republicans is dissatisfied with how things are going on, which implies that even the Republicans as a whole don't see too highly of the current government despite controlling house, senate and the presidency. I wouldn't be surprised if being triple red was the justification for a large amount of those satisfied as well instead of the policies within.
So basically republicans right now are like that dog sitting in a room on fire, while melting, going "This is fine."
More like they're the ones setting it on fire and saying "yes, but with more fire."
I don’t think republican ideology can be redeemed at this point, it needs to be abandoned before this country keels over
I wouldn't worry about any of that. The republicans were given control of the puppet state only to keep them smug and placid. The liberal reptilians are still running the secret shadow government that actually is running the country.
if you take a gander over at fivethirtyeight, you'll see that since the remarks about "shithole" countries came out and the accusations of racism, Trump's popularity has risen to the highest it's been since September. let that sink in
you would think the msm would have figured this out by now lol

I work with a few people who were tentatively still supporting him because party lines but the shithole comments had them openly denouncing him. I live in Texas and have only felt like his base is shrinking. A few people in town who used to have Trump bumper stickers have scraped them recently.
