Anything by david lynch, eraserhead, blue velvet, lost highway, mulholland drive. then taxi driver and taxidermia
i highly recommend taxidermia, it's on netflix watch instantly.
Obscure and trippy are the last two words i'd use to describe Taxi Driver.
The labyrinth.
First time I saw it I was about 14 and somewhat drunk, I passed out and woke up on the part where the goblin (or something) heads are following the girl up the castle by floating.
I will never watch that film while high, it's fucked up when sober.
Although David Bowie's package in his skin tight clothes are quite mesmorising
Eraserhead made me feel like shit, my mind subconsciously forgot I ever watched it, so reading that name made me feel sick.

I watched it when I was high, also.

maybe it isn't obscure but showing his descent into madness is pretty trippy

Fantastic Planet. It's an AWESOME old French film (from the 70's) about giant blue aliens that basically keep humans as pets.

This picture just about sums up the whole movie.

The Cell, it's inception before inception came out.

My buddy and I just chilling out one day (I think we were supposed to be at school but that was so long ago I don't remember..) and smoking a bowl, check the movies on HBO, oh, The Cell? What's that? Needless to say...we were not prepared.

Watched Fantastic Planet last night and all I have to say is FANTASTIC and really interesting none the least.
Wave Twisters
A completely animated film, also known as the first turntablism-based musical. It is based on DJ Q-Bert's album of the same name.

It's animated but it's got a good plot and completely trippy, like an animated inception really.
