As October 7th gets near and Venezuelan elections come closer, candidates wrap up their campaigns and today was Mr. Chavez turn to gather his supporters in Caracas. Funny thing is, the supporters are not solely from Caracas. Images and reports from caraquenian citizens show that Chavez has brought hundreds of buses filled with people from all over the country to fill up the streets. Several people have reported being offered 600 Bs. (roughly 140$) to assist to the current president's rally downtown Caracas. Additionally, state-run companies have taken a 'day-off' to force their employees to join the march. CANTV (phone company) and CORPOELEC (electricity) are completely out of operations today due to Chavez' march. The feat was not achieved without tragedy: A bus were Chavez 'supporters' were travelling in crashed on its way to Caracas, killing 8 people.
[thumb]http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/full/666902861.jpg?key=533800&Expires=1349394848&Key-Pair-Id=APKAIYVGSUJFNRFZBBTA&Signature=bwh~Ku89Lb1NYIRUiMZC~bbyBKZcNd2aDlVolXWRrvJak66N2L6tQkv6A9CDTp8~EQNlVaRUu3X-ynKMcbyGfcATpH4qOnyfvda1pL5w5uHHJZBFHlUDdaZER6lfugghVRCHMF-2Ea7oTPQKgDXQlQFr0aSeQf54xU8uQAK-ADw_[/thumb] Here's the people's gathering..... and here.... Is paying people to aid your campaign not illegal in Venezuela?
Is paying people to aid your campaign not illegal in Venezuela?
haha hey dude this is venezuela the law is more of a general suggestion that Chavez can take or leave
Is paying people to aid your campaign not illegal in Venezuela?
It's Hugo Chavez. He makes the laws.
Is paying people to aid your campaign not illegal in Venezuela?
He painted an entire building to have his face. He then repeated this with over 6 other buildings. The hilarious part of it is that, if you look real close, you'll see posters of Capriles that people who reside within those buildings put on their windows. Trust me when I say that this guy has REALLY no respect for electoral rules. This is government funds he's using for that campaign. Also, the FUCKING traffic these FUCKING buses causes is hard to even describe.
oh check this out, state workers signing up an attendance sheet for the march: Venezuelan politics sure are fun

I read this as vuvuzela, which made no sense whatsoever.
I read this as vuvuzela, which made no sense whatsoever.
My god, I knew, Venezuela has armed their Glorious Bolivarian Army with vuvuzelas! FUCK IRAN THIS IS THE REAL WMD.
Oh hey, exactly the same happened in Russia earlier this year.
It's gonna be rigged. Doesn't matter, he will win no matter what.
So...What is the point of elections in Venezuela?
So...What is the point of elections in Venezuela?
It's a farce every dictator needs to claim he's not a dictator.
I read this as vuvuzela, which made no sense whatsoever.
I read it as 'Fills 7 avenues with carcasses', which was a bit more concerning until I looked closer
It's a farce every dictator needs to claim he's not a dictator.
I prefer benevolent dictators from corrupt presidential candidates.
'Vuvuzella elections: Fills 7 avenues with Carcasses' Fits oddly well together.
So...What is the point of elections in Venezuela?
Picking a president? Elections are not rigged in Venezuela, it's just that (as hard to believe as this is) Chavez still has massive support. The results tomorrow will probably be extremely narrow.
And I tought the Mexican elections were fucked up...
