• BACK FROM THE DEAD! Yutu Rover Downlink Established. Rover possibly alive, but still in jeopardy
It was widely reported earlier today (February 12, 2014) that China’s first lunar rover – called Yutu, which means Jade Rabbit – failed to connect with mission controllers in Beijing following the long lunar night at its location. This afternoon, however, another report suggested some signs of life from Yutu. And now it appears that a signal has been acquired from the rover. The report comes from a website devoted to amateur monitoring of radio signals from deep space (uhf-satcom.com). It reports that a downlink signal from the Yutu rover has been detected. Yutu is apparently alive! Is the Chinese rover crippled? Will it come fully awake to finish its mission? There are no reports yet on the health of the rover. Time will tell.
Source I BELIEVE!
It'd be pretty cool to have one of those radio monitoring rigs. I wonder how much they cost.

I'm going to be getting an SDR soon. They're pretty expensive due to how they work but they're awesome.

After you add an antenna and amplifier to listen to signals from the moon you should be at around $1-2k.
