I just stumbled upon this and thought I'd share it. What the hell happened to him?
And then he invades two nations, deposes one leader and endorses another equally bad one, and then kills hundreds of thousands due to war, and shoves our troops into even more bases in even more countries.
But of course that's cool because, y'know, 9/11.
Yes that's kind of the point of this post
Huh.
The things he's saying are actually kind of...intelligent?
What the hell?

Because, contrary to popular belief, Bush wasn't an idiot. He just made some bad choices during his term.

'Some' isn't really a fitting term
I always kind of felt bad for Bush, if you think about the time period of 9/11, everyone was saying "oh my god those fucking terrorists they killed all those people we should go fuck them up." Bush was probably pressured into going into war because our short term brains didn't think 'well we probably would have been there for a while,' but we thought 'If this asshole doesn't go to war he obviously is un-american, and all those lives lost will go unanswered.' There is a reason his approval rating was 90 something percent when 9/11 took place.
'Some' isn't really a fitting term
Because everything that happened between 2000-2008 was entirely and completely Bush fault alone. Totally.
In my opinion, he had no other choice but to go to war. Think of the pressure that not only America but the world had on him, he'd have been public enemy number one if he hadn't of done what he did. I kind of feel sorry him and would have probably done the same given his situation at the time :/

I remember a report I did on him years ago and he's a really nice and interesting guy, but people turn him into something he's not.
Judging by some videos around of him, he seems like a cool guy to have a beer with :v:

You do know that the president doesn't make all the decisions, right?
When I first saw the title, I thought they where talking about this guy.
[t]http://www.visitingdc.com/images/george-hw-bush-picture.jpg[/t]
George bush wasn't a dumb ass, for gods sake he was the president. He just was a ducking dickhole
I didn't know he said this. It looks like he really means it too.
I am just curious how much of the things we blame him for were forced upon him.
I read the thread title as "George Bush you faggot" for some reason

Seems to be the way of the American president theses days, no? Here's hopin' for Ron Paul... Here's hopin' for a change.
"If we're a humble nation and strong.."
Yeah. Now it's an arrogant as fuck WEAK nation.
He was a victim of the media, like a lot of other politicians, still though, he made a number of bad choices.
Money controls all. If money is telling the president to do something, to hell with the people, they'll follow the money. No fucking exceptions. Obama isn't doing what he is doing because he wants to, he's doing it because someone else wants him to.
If 9/11 hadn't have happened, Bush would have been a great president. Not as up to par as FDR and JFK, but a decent one.
I do feel bad for him, like when 9/11 append he had a lot of criticism against him for not acting right after the attacks, but he was in an elementary school and kept on reading to the kids to not frighten them.
So funny, because everyone hates on bush but Obama does the same exact thing as him.
Because everything that happened between 2000-2008 was entirely and completely Bush fault alone. Totally.
yeah it's obama's fault
Let events and actions speak for themselves rather than this pre-election publicity wank sesh. This is pre-election footage. Everything he says has to be as attractive to as wide a voting base as possible, regardless of whether he means it or not. You'd think after 8 years of wiretapping and eroding our rights, corruption scandals, two senseless wars, a balance-of-payments debt through the roof, and a financial collapse of our economy you people would take more convincing than one televised debate where he can say whatever he wants.
It's nice to see the vast majority of people in this thread fell for it all over again.
I remember a report I did on him years ago and he's a really nice and interesting guy, but people turn him into something he's not.
I think in the polls during the campaign run, people often referred to him as "someone i'd like a have a beer with". Which was a downfall if you think about it, he was an interesting man who knew what he was doing as a senator but was just not cut out for all the stress and importance of being the president of the united states.
'Some' isn't really a fitting term
Bush wasn't the ONLY man in power, and for 9/11 to happen, it was a really hard time.
Becoming a leader of a nation fucks your brain badly.
Judging by some videos around of him, he seems like a cool guy to have a beer with :v:
I remember reading somethings about him awhile back on how he never had aspirations to be president. All he wanted to do in life was play baseball and manage/own a team, which he ended up doing. For a president he's down to earth as fuck and you can always see him at Ranger's games with his wife. Shame he has such a negative image, dude is grade A.
I actually met George Bush at a Texans game at Reliant Stadium, he's a really nice guy.
All lies in order to get elected.
