The 13-year-old boy who was bullied and beat up by a "wolf pack" of teenagers in Pennsylvania last month received a surprise visit from his favorite football player on live television.
Nadin Khoury was walking home from school on Jan. 11 when he was randomly accosted by seven teens who attacked him for 30 minutes. The incident was filmed by one of the assailants, which helped propel the sickening incident into the national spotlight.
On Thursday, a resilient Khoury appeared with his family on "The View" to discuss the incident and bullying in general. Near the end of the segment, he was surprised by Philadelphia Eagles players DeSean Jackson(notes), Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson(notes).
Jackson, the Eagles star receiver, is Khoury's favorite player. After coming out on set and hugging the middle school student, Jackson gave Khoury the jersey off his back (literally) and let him know that if he ever needed help, he and his two lineman had his back. Herremans later mentioned that the Eagles would give the family tickets to any Eagles game next season.
If you don't have a tear in your eye or goosebumps on your arm after that one, I don't know what to say.
Hulu video is in the link.
This make me happy :']
.........................................Even though the eagles sucks :P
What a nice thing to do, hope those other punks get their shit straightened out by their parents.
What an awesome thing to do
DeSean is a stupid name, and it's such a stereotypical black name; why not name him something normal that has an actual meaning behind it, like Michael?
[editline]3rd February 2011[/editline]
As some background, 'DeShawn' (and other variants) began in the US around the 90s. It is literally just Shawn with 'De' in front of it.

Maybe her mom worked on Counter-Strike.

I think you're finding dumb shit to get mad about
beat up by a "wolf pack"
Do they mean people from the opposite team, whose mascot is a wolf, or do they mean actual furries?
Do they mean people from the opposite team, whose mascot is a wolf, or do they mean actual furries?
If you got beat up by a bunch of furries, you must be really weak.
I think the people who attacked him should also receive visits from huge, musclebound athletes.

If I was accosted by a pack of furries, being beaten up would be the least of my worries.

Now that is pure awesome.
It's like what happened with a kid here in Brazil, he wanted to see Michael Jackson's show so bad but he accidentally got ran over by one of the crew's car and he broke his leg. Then, MJ himself visited him in the hospital and he did some cool things for the kid like dancing in front of him and all. And he also gave him tickets for the next show in Brazil.
Well, sort of a similar story.
Does anybody have a link to the mobile phone video?

Because the vast majority of names which have "meaning" have a religious background. Both my middle and first name are rooted in religion and I find that to be mildly annoying.
This is not a mildly racially insensitive discussion on names.
Good for that kid.

Which is bad... How? Religion isn't some poison that can't be entirely diluted with time.
Non hulu video anywhere?

I'd rather be named after a religion than a TV show

oh that's just cruel
dancing in front of the kid with the broken leg
and then giving him tickets for the next show
like the stadium is going to have wheelchair access
