Ever since "Kick-Ass" brought its fresh, violent, foul-language-laden take on the superhero movie to the big screen in April, everyone involved — from director Matthew Vaughn to star Aaron Johnson to Mark Millar, the co-creator of the comic on which the film is based — have talked up the sequel. Rumors have swirled that Millar was working on a script and that Vaughn had an eye to direct when he'd wrapped work on that other superhero flick he's spearheading, "X-Men: First Class."
It is our sad duty to bring you the following news that certainly does not kick ass: Co-star Lyndsy Fonseca, who plays the titular hero's girlfriend, says that it could be quite some time before the sequel, (tentatively titled "Kick-Ass 2: Balls to The Wall") hits theaters.
"It's going to be a while if it does happen," she told MTV News while promoting her TV series "Nikita" at New York Comic Con this weekend. "Everyone's kind of working on other things, and there needs to be more issues of the comic before there's material to do another movie. So wait and see."
There you have it. Millar needs to write some more comics, Vaughn needs to clear some mutants off his plate, Fonseca needs to take a break from kicking butt as a Division agent on "Nikita," Chloe Moretz needs to stop being so in-demand, and the rest of the cast needs to be ready to shoot when all that happens.
Until then, keep practicing your sweet superhero moves in the mirror, and cross your fingers.
Good.
No!
Awww well, sequels are usually shit anyway.
I'd rather no sequel than a shitty sequel.

What I especially dislike about some sequels, even if they are overall decent/good is if they alter the end of the last one in a way. Like in the first one there is an ending that makes it look like everyone lives happily ever after, the hero saved his wife and child, married someone or accomplished something big.
Then in the sequel the hero is divorced, his daughter is a crackwhore and whatever he accomplished in the first one fell apart or something along those lines.
Famous examples are the Die Hard movies, Speed 2 and Ghostbusters 2.
Spider-Man 2 is a prime example of a good sequel!
I disliked this movie. All of the lines on Hit Girl's and Big Daddy's roles seemed forced. It felt unnatural.

Plus, it was overhyped.
