The french version of the AngryVideoGameNerd ( [sp]the show actually makes jokes about the similarities between the two[/sp] )but with alot more staged scenes, English subtitles are of course available.
Didn't expect to see "Joueur du grenier" on facepunch. Always found his content more entertaining than AVGN, especially the old cartoon reviews he does.
I just discovered that english subtitles were available on his videos, so I jumped on the occasion.
"Attic Gamer" really doesn't roll off the tongue :v:
I really liked it, though I don't think the video will resonate as well with an English audience. Nobody outside of France knows who Cyprien and Norman are (Basically the two most popular vloggers there), you won't really get Bruce's anti-magic tirade if you don't know he runs a science channel. I don't think I got all the references either, I'm not sure what the deal is with the sex offender counselor. Also, the French puns don't translate too well in English, and there's cultural stuff that probably doesn't work abroad (like the whole public highschool angle, SECPAs, etc).
That being said, I'm curious to see what a non French speaker thinks of it, if they're brave enough to stomach a 40 minutes video :v:
Also, the production value is through the roof in this, beyond even the best AVGN skits IMO, shooting in an actual castle and all that ! Plus, Seb as Dumbledore is simply magical, pun intended.
I like how after 8 years, the guy never changed his opening, despite getting thinner by then and the lower video quality. It has pretty much became a running joke at this point.

Yeah that's a little risk but they're only a few seconds in the entire video, the rest is still perfectly understandable even if you don't speak french.
