I was at EVIT when that happened. A couple of my classmates actually heard the shooting while we were doing our pt run. We went into lockdown for around 2 hours (which sucked because everyone was all sweaty and gross)
One of the EVIT students from the culinary class was a victim. He got shot at the restaurant their class runs. Scary stuff

All the schools and apartment complexes nearby were shut down to fuck.

I used to work in that area, and a lot of my friends go to school at MCC still. Scary as hell.
They spent years on construction to "beautify the area", but Mesa's still a garbage dump.
