do you think we've reached a point where famous youtubers purposely make videos about each other to create a concentrated loop of views within their circle
I don't understand why people are so interested in these fake feuds when it comes to wrestling and I don't understand why people are interested when it comes to youtubers.

Because sometimes the entertainment doesn't come from the fact that it's real or not, rather what they can do with feud for entertainment.

there's a prophecy whispered in the dankest regions of the darkweb, that once the lords of youtube fight eachother to create the largest and most inside joke, a meme magic like no other will be transformed into an abomination like no other. Some say it's when harambe, pepe, and 9/11 become one being, some say Richard Dawkins will become a meme beyond anyone's comprehension, others speak of an AI that will be created to generate poe's law keks and will leap beyond taybot into living conciseness. All we know is that CNN will cover it as breaking news. May god save us all, papa bless
wasn't as good as his typical videos imho

Although it's hard to notice, I do have to agree. I can't really think of any way to fix it though.
I feel like this is tongue in cheek, just for fun, but I can't tell.

Doubt there really is a way to fix it. I think that the poor production quality of just Ethan sitting infront of the computer really was important. Now with the fancy cameras, lighting and the gimmicks with the hats/glasses/costumes the charm has just faded for me. I'm not saying it's bad now; I just don't feel excited when I see a new H3H3 upload like I used to

Same with jontron for me.

The same thing happened to Jontron, but he was able to cancel it out a bit with the quality of content he releases I think.

You bloody...
I had quite a bit of trouble with Jontron changing to a set too, but tbh he's still as funny as ever so it bothers me a lot less now.
JonTron barely even makes videos anymore, and when he does, they're sponsored ads a lot of the time. H3h3 started losing their charm for different reasons.
It's actually starting to become a problem, my favorite youtube channels are getting stale and there's nothing I can do to stop it.
I sound obnoxious saying this but for me a part of it is the memes. 90% of h3's jokes is just a callback to a dead community meme, like the sister thing or the beanies. Like... it's not an inside joke if everyone knows it, but it wouldn't be that bad if they had another kind of humor.
Remember how they used to do smart/funny commentary about other videos, and even failing that, had a dumb costume to wear in public? It feels like they ran out of things to say, and ran out of budget for dumb costumes and street segments :v:. Compared to other creators, like RLM or iDubbbz who make a joke out of how stupid memes are and find their comedy somewhere else, idk. Hope it turns around.

JonTron always has periods of downtime, and his channel still has recent stuff that isn't just ads. In that channel's case, I think it is from the increase in production qualities.

Jontron has released 6 videos in the last 4 months and 2 of them have been specifically about the sponsored content. I'm having no problem with Jon's direction, I've been liking all his recent videos and I look at the sponsorship stuff as him continuing to provide us free content while using his Youtube viewership as a way to make money.
video made me smirk a couple times but this video is pretty dumb
unsubbed from them today. its unfortunate but their videos are becoming too similar and boring. happens to everyone though, you watch too much of the same stuff you dont find it as funny anymore.
;_; I still like Ethan

I thought this was obvious when it first started becoming common a couple years ago, it's easy money. It's nothing complicated and major business have done it for decades, to great effect at that.
It's much easier to work with your biggest rivals and manipulate your market like sheep into one pen or another as needed than it is to try and become the only provider. People that think Coke and Pepsi are actually trying to compete with each other don't even know what the game is.
this vid is just repeating the same 3 jokes over and over again wtf happened
I never really enjoyed h3h3's videos all that much, but I always try and watch them since a lot of my friends really like them. I'm hoping to just start liking them one day.
Personally, my favourite H3H3 videos were the real goofy ones where he went out and did silly things, like the boy band one and the modern art museum. It seems they don't really do them anymore, though.

Literally 2 weeks ago they went around with 100 beanies on Ethan's head. And then about a month ago he did shit with 100 shirts on.
You guys have really selective memories.
I think the main problem is, they don't enjoy making videos anymore. Ethan addressed this himself.

When?
H3h3 stopped doing reaction vids to funny/unknown vids and haven't done a crazy vid like vape nation or the boyband one in a while. At some point, it seems that they figured that Ethan's character was the main element of their channel, but imo his character was developed in the context of reaction videos, and it doesn't hold up nearly as well as the exclusive focus of a video. The crazy videos they used to react to were important.
I think something people are missing is that if he did make a classic reaction video, it wouldn't necessarily be as good. formats get stale after a while, people change, and older videos have a sort of nostalgia effect that makes them seem amazing
I think ethan knows this, he knows he can't do the coughing/reactions shtick forever, so they're branching out, trying a lot of different formats and styles to see what works. I applaud him for not taking the easy route of running his old format into the ground
but combine that with a ravenous fanbase and youtube's ruthless relevancy algorithms that force them to put up constant content, and you get a lot of mediocre videos
