Misfits is a British live-action superhero comedy-drama about a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service programme, where they become imbued with supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm... and it's back this evening. So I was wondering who else was getting hyped about it, and what your thoughts are on the new series? For the curious: www.e4.com/misfits If anyone wants to fill the gap left by Misfits, an equally good dark comedy-drama is the BBC's Being Human, which is back in January. Check it out: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1042740-Being-Human-Series-3
Fucking can't wait man, hope it's as good as season 1.
Cant wait, hope it live up its good reputation. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Of Series 1
Can't wait can't wait can't wait The trailers for this series look like it's leaning towards a more superhero-ish storyline, with a proper supervillan-esque character rather than sticking to the "skins + superpowers" storyline it seemed to have in the first one
Looks soooo fucking good. Apparently by the end of this series they do turn into superheroes.
Great - anyone know where I can watch this online? I'm stoked.
tvcatchup.com is the best for online viewing of the basic channels. I watched the first episode of this new series last week and it was very good. (I bought it on iTunes, pre-air special for no reason.)

First series was p.good This should follow suit, Channel 4 make good programmes.
I watched all of them on the 4oD youtube channel. I think the show is great. Gonna watch on +1 because I don't want to miss a second.
"because i might have shat my pants" I laughed hard...
Watching it right now. So far so good. :v:
‎"Well your obviously lying.... but its five o clock, and i couldn't give a shit" [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Monkeyslut
I think the guy that died in the first episode is the one in the costume.
Oh hey look, Cornettos! Loved the episode, looks like it's gonna be better than the first in my opinion :v:
what a fantastic episode, i thought it wouldn't be up to the standard of series 1 but wow was i wrong
"Join the circus, people pay lots of shit to get knifes thrown at me and shot in the face"
Love this. "Well if your not dead, how come you smell so bad" "I appear to have shat myself"
When Eleesha's eyes were black, originally I thought it would be something to do with her power going out of control and causing her to become sex mad.
I think the guy that died in the first episode is the one in the costume.
Naw dude, it's the guy from the end of the last episode of the first series. The guy on the bike who saves Simon and Nathan from the zombified christian people.
First series was p.good This should follow suit, Channel 4 make good programmes.
you know that channel 4 commissioned big brother for 11 series right?
Scrolled whole thread waiting for a "Misfits" joke. I'm proud of you, facepunch.
I can forsee a large amount of funny deaths involving Nathan. You can sorta tell their gonna try to kill him as much as possible now.
Anyone else notice the superhero suit that Curtis had on during the preview for the next episode?
they mention melon fucker again :h:
I loved the new episode. Splawesome. Monkeyslut.
That was a great episode. Glad it's still as good as it was.
Superhero dude is badass Also, notice how they say that they're going to be done with community service in 6 weeks? :v: Apparently the series after this one is going to have them finished with community service, but they still keep the overalls and use them as a sort of costume for when they decide to act as superheroes or something. And one of the episodes in series 3 will be written by Johnathan Ross (?)
There's gonna be a series three?! And that was so awesome, they got the balance perfect between humour and darkness. I was worried that over the year it might have lost the spark for me, but it's still brilliant. Can't wait to see what's posted for the online side of it this week (hopefully the characters will finally restart their twitter accounts and things). [editline]11th November 2010[/editline]
And one of the episodes in series 3 will be written by Johnathan Ross (?)
Could turn out really well. I'm reading the comic "Turf" written by him, and so far it's been playing out well. He's a good writer.
Superhero's white, we know that much. Could be the new probation worker? Was really funny. Nathan :h:
Superhero's white, we know that much. Could be the new probation worker? Was really funny. Nathan :h:
I reckon it's a completely new character that we haven't seen before. Also, what do you reckon his power is? I think it's something to do with precognition, hence the photos and the timers counting down in his apartment-y place. He's definitely twisting events so that certain things occur. Plus there was a flash of a blueprint to do with paper aeroplanes before he sent it flying towards Kelly (so he's obviously been planning things out meticulously) but if any of you have seen the film Push, it seems a lot like the way that the first Watcher drops the marble in a specific way so that it rolls down the corridor and stops the door, allowing the woman to escape - they're doing very precise things, only manageable through seeing the future and carrying out the exact movements to make the thing happen. There's probably a much better way of putting it, but I'm going to bring out the "tiredness" card because I've got no excuse.
