Oh no what will we do Pretty pathetic
still not compareable to chrome and firefox, but ofc better than IE8 anywho
Why does twitter even exist? Like I really want to know what Jennifer Aniston is eating right now.
Twitter is a pointless thing for pointless people. Myspace is for useful than twitter damnit
Oh no! Oh wait twitter is terrible unless you are some sort of celebrity with a sense of humour.
Twitter is an incredibly useful services to stay in touch with friends and to quickly share stuff with people
No facebook is your fucktard
Rude.
I use twitter as a central news site.
Oh my god a website I have no use for. I must let everyone know that I have no use for it and act smug about it.
Twitter is only useful for tracking things. If whatever is being said doesn't fit in 140 characters, it isn't meant for twitter. If you have to MAKE it fit in 140 characters, you might want to reconsider if it needs to be on twitter.
Wow, I didn't know FP was so anti-Twitter. I personally use it not for sharing stuff myself but for tracking people I'm interested in, namely game developers, blogs, or news sites. A lot of game devs share some important stuff on Twitter and it's great to know what they're up to or what they're thinking about since they make the games I play. But I like doing it in bite-sized Chrome extension format, so this new "don't make Twitter apps" policy is bullshit unless Twitter is planning to make official replacements for all of these incredibly useful apps. [img_thumb]http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/4285/chromedbird.png[/img_thumb] I very much prefer having that little button tell me how many unread tweets I have and view all of them in that small window rather than actually going to the Twitter site itself just to read a few tweets. Unless Twitter plans on making an official Chrome extension (they haven't; this is a third-party one), they can fuck off with this policy.
Twitter is an incredibly useful services to stay in touch with friends and to quickly share stuff with people
Good one.
This is a stupid move. I can imagine several people would simply boycott Twitter completely if they don't get to use it exactly how they want to.
Twitter already made an official app, there is no need for 50+ 3rd party ones
Oh my god people sharing their opinions. I must stop them and act smug about it.
Sharing your opinion =/= stating a fact
Twitter is a pointless thing for pointless people. Myspace is for useful than twitter damnit
It's an awesome way to get personalised news.
Twitter already made an official app, there is no need for 50+ 3rd party ones
There's lots of apps for every device out there that are more creative than just showing you your twitter feed in a plain list. An example is this iPad app which formats your feed like a magazine, which again, is great for news. Twitter will never do stuff like that and that's the reason this is worth getting annoyed about.
i like twitter because a lot of indie devs like to tweet about their progress.

I'm still waiting for the E-Ink magazine and newspaper.
Twitter is a great service if you follow the right people. Nobody is forcing you to follow idiots.
I don't use twitter much myself, but I can understand a lot of 3rd party developers are going to get mighty pissed. It's not exactly good practise for a company to change their mind about such a big thing after such a long time
