I had a feeling it would be this video, pretty cool anyway.
Only about 18 month late

Man, I want a SSD now. Pity they're so fucking pricy.
:pcgaming:
I want that PC. But it would eat electricity like a bad motherfucker.
My brother's got his OS and Starcraft 2 on an SSD.
I hate his boot times so much.

Can't imagine what I should ever need a 65PB hard drive for. Even mass-storage, I wouldn't trust a single drive with that ammount of storage.
I'm going to get 64 of these and string them together and show them who's boss.

Get a 60 GB SSD (~$150), put your OS and all Programs except games on it. Put everything else on a HDD and move your user-folder and all that kind of stuff to the HDD too.

Why the fuck would I never need a 65 petabyte drive? Besides for my porn?

Be careful of what you say.

Was gonna post that Bill Gates Quote, until i saw your post.
Have a Zing!

With 65 petabytes of storage space we can finally install high resolution texture mods without worry.

I can't really imagine a game needing to take more than 1tb.
Maybe if we go beyond the standard 1680x1050 resolution to something like 10x that resolution which would make super highres textures worth it.
but
There's this thing called procedual textures which is basically generated textures. It's not commonly used atm but I could imagine if it were, people wouldn't need to make insanely high res textures. They would be generated mostly itself by the game in a much more realistic non-repetitive way.
Didn't all games a few years back take up a lot of space because they had prerendered movies? Take for example Final Fantasy 7, it was on 3 discs, and it was all because of the videos. The game itself without the videos would probably be like 200 mb or even less.
My point is, we're moving to less pregenerated games to more real time generated games. If anything the size of a game should shrink a little in the future.
Sound could probably be generated too, but I don't see that happening in the near future.
