Until someone hacks the windshield and adds a deer or person running across the road to make u crash.
introducing forza mode
Pretty cool, except for those "racing lines", I'm all for shoving stupid amounts of tech into cars but if this is made with racing in mind, the car pretty much does half of the driver's job (figuring out the best route), it's kinda like a wallhack for drivers.
Might as well post the older concept here too. I'd fucking love to have this in my old Discovery II.

It is nothing really innovative. Stuff like this already existed for many decades in modern fighter jets, hell, there were reflector gunsight as early as world war 2. The technology is already there, it is just a matter of the price.
I love the idea of HUDs being incorporated into stuff other than fighter jets and helicopters.
Shame I think it would be dangerous to implement into road cars. Unless it highlighted hazards.
My dad's C6 Vette and his current BMW both have HUDs projected on the windshield.
reminds me of the car in children of men

glass HUDs have been a thing for a while. most modern semi trucks have warning lights that flash on the glass to tell you some object is coming up under you.
