Not even suprised tbh.
As its RL and he's reported on a ton of credible stories im inclined to believe him.
Oh and also it proves the Faze guys own csgowild
EDIT:
HIS CHANNELS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO TOS VIOLATIONS!
Can't wait when legislation peeks its head into this whole thing and Valve heavily modifies their virtual economy systems (Key + Crate specifically) because of that.
Except that's likely going to happen in the next three years or so.
Holy shit. And he used to be such a casual LoL player.

US government has tried peeking it's head into this nightmare for awhile now, problem can be summed up as, "Where are the grey zones?" and most of the time those are states without internet-related taxes to monitor ingoing/outgoing, and places like native reservations which are bastions of gray-wave surfing. Like most gray waves, the light never reaches deep enough to see what species of fish is swimming in the waters under the guise of actually obeying the law.
Another huge problem is that the companies which are involved in the creation of the items, namely Valve, doesn't realistically want the gambling to end. They make far to much profit off the transaction of items and purchasing of virtual store items which are used as credits by these websites.
It's a system that everyone, but the consumer benefits from, and because of such, no one wants to put a wrench in the machine.
Why is everyone pretending to care about this stuff all of a sudden.
Tons of services exploit people, in the exact same ways, and nobody gives a shit about them.
That's pretty solid evidence. Scumbags.
Damn, this shit runs deep. I'm surprised, but I'm not at the same time.

Because it's very recently come to light that people are exploiting it quite heavily?
Because this is a gaming forum where we discuss games/the industry and people care about what goes on in the community especially in regards to high profile games?
Those are the main reasons but I'm sure there's more.
I mean this is assuming you actually want to know why and aren't just trying to say "lol who cares its a game" in a slightly less asinine way.
I think the most amazing thing about people's surprise is the attitude that government regulation actually stops shit like this happening for the most part.

Haven't had the time to watch the video yet, but... Faze? As in the organization itself? Or just someone in it? Sounds so crazy.
but seriously what kind of people do we expect to own these csgo gambling sites
but seriously what kind of people do we expect to own these csgo gambling sites
pools of money
Crazy thing about this one is the claims that he asked for controls to be added in that allows him to force wins on himself.
If he gets into actual trouble for this, isn't that gonna come down on him like a ton of bricks? I mean not disclosing vested interests is one thing, but I can imagine running a gambling site where you are rigging the game so you can win when you want is a whole other level of criminal.
This was pretty funny, fucked by autofill

Coder who made the website
I know this type of gambling has been going on for quite some time now (a couple of years?) and maybe I am a little naive, but all of these recent news have baffled me for multiple reasons.
First of all, I never expected that these sites would make that much money. It's crazy how big this CSGO gambling thing has become. O_o
Secondly, one would think that if you are building a business based on a legal gray area or loop hole in the law, you would be extra careful and expect that authorities could crack down on you at any moment. But no, how about we make it worse by:
- lying about your affiliation when advertising ("Oh hey guys, so I found this really cool new site. Let's try it out... Wow guys, this is so much fun!")
- playing on your site while actively rigging the percentages
I am no lawyer, but in my mind both of these activities make a pretty compelling case for prosecuting you as a scammer and thief, even without considering that you are technically running an unregulated, unautorized gambling business... These guys are so screwed. :speechless:

It's not even that. It's the fact that practically none of them put in even a minimal amount of effort into masking the identity of who owned and or ran the business.
LLCs inside of trusts in states like Delaware are difficult for the IRS to keep track of as it is. The fact that you can catch most of these people with a google search for "reverse DNS lookup" speaks either to their arrogance, or staggering levels of incompetence. There are even companies that exist for the sole purpose of setting this up and masking your identity for you, and they aren't expensive either.

Well hes hosting Eleague (Hosted by Turner) so it seems to be forgotten / ignored.
(E-League is a tournament thats hosted on twitch tues-thurs and then on TBS in the US on friday nights)
Most likely banned due to fake subs. Not gambling related.
The fake stuff was mainly noticed after people started sitting in his chat and paying attention after the gambling stuff.
So it played some part at least.
Another update
