Under the influence of boredom I created two short animations. Don't expect much from either of them, it's crap. First time I used paint to make the pictures, and first time I drew and scanned the pictures.

The one with the wheel, I made about 3 months back and just now uploaded. The pencil drawn one was done in under 10 minutes. (Scanning after each change was a pain in the ass)

It is indeed, that is why a lot of people just animate in flash now. Much more efficient.
