• Teen camps for three nights in line...for Krispy Kreme donuts in Perth, Western Australia
ONE doughnut-mad teenager has been waiting in line for Perth’s first Krispy Kreme to open since Sunday night. Nineteen-year-old Favian Lin has been waiting in line since 5pm on Sunday with nothing more than a sleeping bag, chair, laptop and some food. He’s hoping to win a year’s supply of doughnuts by being the first to step through the door when the store opens tomorrow at 9am. “Krispy Kreme’s are my favourite doughnut,” Mr Lin said. “It used to be a tradition to buy them every time we went interstate.” The currently unemployed teen was joined by another three campers yesterday.
Ok, to be fair you get a years supply of them, and they are easily the best in Western Australia, along with some of the best in the country. Still, 3 nights is a bit extreme. Good that Perth is finally getting 7/11 and Krispy Kreme though. We had people do that in Adelaide Krispy Kreme opening, nothing new.
Makes perfect sense when you realize that he's doing it to win a year of free donuts. Title makes it sound like he's some loser who likes donuts way too much.
krispy kreme is the best somewhere? those are some of the filthiest most disgusting donuts money can buy, it's exactly one step above those cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
krispy kreme is the best somewhere? those are some of the filthiest most disgusting donuts money can buy, it's exactly one step above those cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
WHAT. Now hold the fuck on. Let me tell you something right now mister, those donuts are really good FUCK.
krispy kreme is the best somewhere? those are some of the filthiest most disgusting donuts money can buy, it's exactly one step above those cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
They were pretty piss poor in the states. For some reason the ones in Australia taste a shitload better, although that applied to a majority of foods.
cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
You talking shit?
krispy kreme is the best somewhere? those are some of the filthiest most disgusting donuts money can buy, it's exactly one step above those cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
Dunken Donuts easily best donuts.
Dunken Donuts easily best donuts.
no way, there's a local place called tato nut that makes way better donuts
KK is pretty overrated tbh. The donuts just disintergrate into sugar and their coffee is just frothy milk. I just go to woolies and buy a 6 pack of pineapple donuts. aww yeah
What makes KK the best doughnuts, is that you get to fucking watch them being made. Going in at seven in the mornin' and just being there... Smelling, listening, watching. It just makes you value the doughnut that much more.
this is just up the road from me and i am pumped as fuck like holy shit 24 hour drive thru krispy kreme donuts i still cant believe its happening
what are you doing posting on fp son?? Go. Go your destiny is calling you!!!
krispy kreme is the best somewhere? those are some of the filthiest most disgusting donuts money can buy, it's exactly one step above those cheap hostess donuts you get at gas stations
Krispy Kreme is okay. Maybe a step above gas station donuts, but thats about it. Theres also the health aspect. A single Krispy Kreme donut is enough to ruin my stomach for a couple days. On the other hand, a single donut fresh from Harris Teeters (or maybe it's Kroger's?)is about twice as big as a KK donut, yet it doesn't discombobulate my innerds.
they dont open til tomorrow a few hours after i finish work which is when i go home and sleep. plus id rather wait another couple days than deal with massive lines, im sure people are coming from every damn city around perth to get some
I don't think the lines will be that bad tomorrow. Come Saturday though I think they are going to be packed. My friend is a manager though, so I can just visit him and he will give me some.
donuts are just fucking great in general I've honestly never had bad donuts
I once took a 3 hour (1-way) bus trip with my friends to get to the only krispy kreme in my town. Totally worth it. I've never been to the US Krispy Kreme but the Canadian one has hands down the best donuts I have ever eaten

It somewhat amuses me that this thread is only Aussies and Americans. We Europeans, being of much higher intelligence, sophistication and culture, do not consume something as crude as a 'nut of dough'.

Krispy Kreme's donuts aren't terrible but there are way better options. Dunkin Donuts is better. Shipley's Donuts are god-tier compared to the gooey melty glaze of DD or KK, but they're still a pretty small/regional chain. Local donut shops will always have superior donuts to the chains, though.

I should go down and high-five him just for his sheer dedication.
I should go down and high-five him just for his sheer dedication.
I tried to. Security wouldn't let me
i don't know about krispy kreme but casey's cinammon donuts are some of my favorite donuts ever. especially when you go in first thing and they're still really warm.
A year's worth of donuts for camping there a few days.. It's not as bad the Black Friday, right?
Do I see a perth Facepunch donut day :v:
Still, 3 nights is a bit extreme.
There's 2 women camping out for Black Friday sales at a Beaumont Wal-Mart since the 7th, I think we can let this dude slide.
If you don't like KK you're a fucking barbarian.
