My friend and I "lol", not "l.o.l". We just simply say "lol". Maybe sometimes "lolo", or "lolol". When something isn't actually laugh out loud funny, or just making fun of someone in front of there face, we just say lol, because its fast and we both understand what we mean by it. Are we fucked up or is this ok?
and I just realized this is probably in the wrong section...
i dont want to get banned for flaming, so
<insert flames here>
So you can't just laugh out loud instead?
I'd say consult a doctor about your problem.
Cool.
Does it matter what your way of speaking is?
Lots of dumb annoying people do this.
I know people who do this as well, even though I don't. I'm sure people will get used to it though, even though I personally find it irritating.
But why is it harder for you to simply laugh?
Using internet acronyms in real life makes you look like a tool.
It sounds really dumb and it's hurting the English Language.
Shakespeare is crying in his grave.
Well its not funny enough to laugh out loud, but its just kinda our way of making fun of the other person or who ever it is
So should I cut this out of my language in order to not be irritating/a tool
ololol

i rated useful because ur a tool
It's called get your ass off the internet and read a few books. Internet acronyms are weaving themselves into your linguistic fabric, and due to the fact that you use the "L o l" acronym in place of real laughter through text, it starts to pervade your spoken communication.
I hate when people actually say "lul" or "lol" or spell out "l o l". I just want to punch them right in the fucking face.
People in my school do this a lot. They look like total idiots.
"O.M.G. L.O.L. THAT WAS SO K00L. SMILEY FACE."

Yeah its probably actually more of a "lul"

I hear it mainly over games, or in teamspeak or vent. Jesus it just makes me mad hearing it!
I say this with a friend of mine. Like when something that is pretty funny happens, you can look at the other person and say, "Lawl"
that's how we pronounce it. It's actually kind of funny, because we're very ironic in the way we say it. Like we aren't serious, yet are at the same time.
Yeah its probably actually more of a "lul"
even worse
I've never put periods between the letters in lol
I've also never seen anyone until the OP do it
I only use "lul" around my cousin who is somewhat a nerd. I use "heh"/"ha" with everyone else.
I don't know about you people, but I tend to get in situations where something is funny, but not funny enough to (genuinely) laugh at.
So should I cut this out of my language in order to not be irritating/a tool
Yes
Okay, what the fuck is a tool?
I think I get the gist of it... but I just don't know.

How old are you two? I haven't heard anyone say "lol", and definitely not "el oh el" irl since the seventh grade.
yeah. and when me and my friend find something funny. we try to contort our faces into some semblance of this "XD"
it hurts your eyes afterwards.
when we get sad, we try to do something like this: ";______;"
it's bad for your lateral muscles, but it looks so "lol".
Say "trololol" instead.
Say "trololol" instead.
Or just laugh and say it's funny?
