Update: Another successful mission!
• F9-028 has successfully landed on Of Course I Still Love You
• Successful deployment of JC-SAT 16 to Geostationary Transfer Orbit
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will deliver JCSAT-16, a commercial communications satellite for SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). SKY Perfect JSAT is a leading satellite operator in the Asia-Pacific region and provides high-quality satellite communications to its customers using its fleet of 16 satellites.
SpaceX is targeting launch of JCSAT-16 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on August 14 with a backup date of August 15. The approximately two hour launch window opens on August 14 at 1:26 am ET, 5:26am UTC.
F9-028 will be attempting to land downrange on the ASDS Of Course I Still Love You. This will be the first attempted ASDS landing since F9-026's attempt on July 15, which failed due to low thrust after the successful deployment of Eutelsat and ABS and a 3 landing streak that started with CRS8.
Primary concerns for tonight's launch are the Cumulus Cloud Rule and the Thick Cloud Layer Rule. Launch likeliness currently at 80%. I'll update the thread if there are any delays.

Streams are live with music.
Nice night for satellite launching
woo rocket time!
Lets hope for a landing this time.
Watching it on my mobile with 1 bar of 3G - Working in the bowels of a concrete hospital has its downsides.
T-11minutes
lift off!
Of course it freezes and goes to black at the land. But it sounds like the tech said it landed.
LANDED
OH BABY IT'S NOT IN PIECES!

ON FUCKING TARGET
Is this the 2nd time the feed froze right as it lands?
What if SpaceX is the result of Elon losing a game of darts with a friend? And now he launches darts into the heavens to land them on a bullseye floating in the ocean almost every time.

Umpteenth time.

IIRC that camera's only ever actually worked once or twice, and never without hitches.
Umpteenth time.
An understatement, really :v:.

I can't remember a time when it didn't freeze right as it landed.
Nice view of earth from the stage 2 camera.
[editline]14th August 2016[/editline]
Looks like success all around tonight.

The violent shaking messes with the satellite connection it uses to transmit video.
Can't wait to see some of these nicely-recovered stages getting relaunched someday...
That was a perfect landing.
