So she basically becomes the God-Empress of Mankind when a drug mule operation goes haywire. Those must be some insanely powerful drugs.
So its another thriller about what happens when we get to use all of our brain. Mmmmmmlooks interesting, I'll keep an eye on it.
this could be a parody trailer and i wouldn't be surprised
Okay for the first half I was kinda interested cause it actually made sense, but then she just became god and what the fuck is happening
Who doesn't like a bit of god-levels-of-power fantasy? It's just ridiculous that they use "she can use 100% of her brain" to justify supernatural abilities...
yeah i like the idea of scarlett johansson becoming a goddess and fucking shit up but how did nobody take those drugs before and become gods themselves
Eh, maybe there were test subjects in the lab that were terminated before they could become super-psykers, and the drugs somehow fell into the hands of the unscrupulous types that kidnapped Lucy, not understanding the true power of the "blue stuff". It'd probably be explained in the film, or it might just be replaced with Scarlett Johansson creating the Space Marines.
Looks wank
It's just ridiculous that they use "she can use 100% of her brain" to justify supernatural abilities...
They'd probably been better off with nanomachines or "quantum foam kinetics" to enable psi powers.
So its another thriller about what happens when we get to use all of our brain. Mmmmmmlooks interesting, I'll keep an eye on it.
They literally copied Limitless.
looks good enough to watch
I hate the whole "We only use 10% of our brains" plot device. It's such a lazy way to write off a plot point and it isn't even true.
Looks incredibly generic. Gonna see it anyways.
They literally copied Limitless.
Yeah but limitless didn't have psi-powers. I guess we'll just have to see.
I hate the whole "We only use 10% of our brains" plot device. It's such a lazy way to write off a plot point and it isn't even true.
That made me go "ugh" however this looks pretty fun, the plot might be decent aswell when you accept that plot point.
this is probably another one of those generic movies where the main actor gets away, and lives happily ever after like it doesn't even make sense, drugs that were put into here, spill into her blood system, causing her brain to become 'fully' functional then she gets all these abilities to see through time and stop it, or knock people unconscious and other shit like what.
Looks like a really shitty combination of Transcendence and Limitless.
Okay for the first half I was kinda interested cause it actually made sense, but then she just became god and what the fuck is happening
Also this
seemingly unstoppable ultrapowers are an extremely thin line to walk, high budget or not. I'm hoping later trailers don't just show the super badass moments and show that there's actually a struggle because so far she's got something with positive effect; she can learn entire languages, read an entire life's work in neuroscience, feel life force, kill people at the wave of a hand, alter her appearance, read datastreams mid-air, control time, and the only 'problem' I see is that the bag is leaking and she needs it taken out. Maybe it gets taken out early and she retains the powers, but if the bag is there through all these scenes she could probably have learned surgery on a coffee break or just phased the thing out
What if it turns out at the end that she's just tripping out really hard because the bag popped and was really just having a seizure on the floor of the gang's hideout the whole time? I mean, that would make the whole movie some pointless "lol it's all a dream the moral of the story is don't get kidnapped", but it's the only thing that makes sense.
the movie ends with her waking up from the worlds biggest drug hallucination
Looks good, but hopefully they give her some limitations with her power. She seems REALLY overpowered.
yeah i like the idea of scarlett johansson becoming a goddess and fucking shit up but how did nobody take those drugs before and become gods themselves but still, scarlett johansson
My guess is that there will be another and scarlett johansson will have to epic battler him/her/them [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline]
Looks good, but hopefully they give her some limitations with her power. She seems REALLY overpowered.
its a movie not a game, who cares honestly?
its a movie not a game, who cares honestly?
you still need to balance character in writing. there's a reason superman is boring as fuck
Hmm, not sold on the trailer but I'll keep optimistic since it's a Luc Besson movie and well, it's not like he has a bad record.
Looks good, but hopefully they give her some limitations with her power. She seems REALLY overpowered.
Probably the fact that she just has a really good mind. I.E. She can be killed like anyone else.
you still need to balance character in writing. there's a reason superman is boring as fuck
Okay, I was just thinking about it the wrong way, my bad. I doubt she'll be invulnerable. Even Superman has kryptonite. Even if she is unstoppable and is just a god for the whole movie, I think it can be forgiven because this looks like a badass action flick. Not every film has to have a compelling story with deep characters. [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline]
Probably the fact that she just has a really good mind. I.E. She can be killed like anyone else.
I also think this will be the case. Now that I think of it, it would be pretty funny if she just dominates for the whole movie and then gets shot and the credits roll.
this dialogue is excruciating is this movie seriously just "weird shit happens to scarlet johansen, then mobsters attack"?
To be fair, this is a shitty trailer wherein the only dialogue cut in is parts explaining the plot.

[thumb]http://puu.sh/7UCuC.jpg[/thumb] Oh boy, its one of "those" scenes.
I'd rather see Scarlett in movies like Lost in Translation, Her, and Under the Skin then actiony ones like this. Just my opinion.
Kinda lame how they just took the exact same drug from Limitless. Got a feeling it wont be nearly as good as that movie either.
