A tutorial I recorded. I was painting as I was recording, no reference used. Wanted to demonstrate the technique primarily. Comments welcome~ planning on making one for mouth:
Amazing, A pallete is you.
Thank you! ^^ I'm using 1080p format(made the file in this format wmv), anyone knows why youtube is stretching my video? :/
Jesus christ, you must be really patient.
It's stretching because you didn't export and upload at the original aspect ratio/pixel ratios changed. Don't edit in WMM. Oh and you're good but I really hate having music in the background that blares out my speakers suddenly. Maybe you could, you know... talk?
Ooo yeah, pixel ratio xD Gotta change that :/ I only have WMM I'm afraid :( I never do video editing, I just do animation clips and illustrations. the clips are usually fresh out of Maya xD any free software you would recommend? ^^ I don't like to record my voice on the web xD Reveals too much information about me :p
It doesn't really reveal any info about you, but alright. If you want to edit, buy buy buy. You've got photoshop, which you theoretically should have bought
I love drawing eyes, and that was awesome :D Although I did get annoyed in the beginning by that O-Zone song, next time use a more calm or an abstract song
I only bought the design premium, which doesn't include after effect :( If I wanna use after effect, I need to walk downstairs into the computer lab. I really don't like computer labs; I prefer to do stuff like this in my own room. Well, I have allergy atm, so I sound like crying to be honest T.T
You don't want to use after effects for compositing. E: Chodeshot doesn't understand what compositing is lol
I'm trying to republish using WMM with 1920x1080 16x9, hope it doesn't lie this time >=( [editline]04:55PM[/editline]
I love drawing eyes, and that was awesome :D Although I did get annoyed in the beginning by that O-Zone song, next time use a more calm or an abstract song
Swapped songs with new widescreen 1x1 ratio pixel ^^
I don't really understand why the pupil is blue though. The iris is pigmented but the pupil is just an opening into the eye through which light passes. The cornea before the pupil and the lens situated just behind the pupil are clear under normal circumstances. Good artwork. It was just that little tiny detail.

There's some kind of weird two-stage iris going on in that case
reflection :] Had exactly 10 min there. If I add more into the tut, then I would run out of time. Details are not the primary focus of this image. Exact details should be placed in a finished scene. [editline]04:26PM[/editline] a more finished one, my style, would look like this:

I'll try it out in the lab, thankies. It has master collection.
Well mine isn't nearly as realistic or as wonderful as your's, in the slightest. But This inspired me to do a doodle of an eye in photoshop, so here it is:
You don't want to use after effects for compositing.
Isn't After Effects a compositor? You really don't need anything that expensive for what he's trying to do. Nice eye by the way
Isn't After Effects a compositor? You really don't need anything that expensive for what he's trying to do. Nice eye by the way
No. After Effects is not a compositing program. It's a program designed for special effects editing that is then passed on to compositing programs such as PREMIERE.
You're truly amazing!
Very nice work, I like it very much.
What brush did you use in the first vid where you write stuff?
No. After Effects is not a compositing program. After Effects is a composing software while Premiere is simply video editing software. After Effects is often used to (for example;)composite different passes you've rendered out in a 3d application to create an (moving) image, thus the term compositing software.
What brush did you use in the first vid where you write stuff?
I use default circular brush with pressure sensitivity on thickness and opacity throughout :] [editline]05:04PM[/editline] should I make one for mouth too? After Effects isn't designed to do that. So really we're both right.
Ah, yep DOG-GY. And may I compliment you on your work, Maya2008? Loved your Chinese new year(? had a lady) image a while back, had me stunned for a bit. Good luck in the future!
