Zondac Plays Killzone 3 (Open Beta) - General

Once again, the duty calls, and another PSN playable free thing has been released. More specifically, the Killzone 3 Open Beta. It is Zondacs duty to play this free thing, because he can. When Zondac first started up this game, on my PS3 that is, he was all like "DUUDE" and I was like "DUUUDE?" and he was like "YES" and we agreed to use his capture card located somewhere in my computer (!?????) to record it. So we did, and while we recorded, Zondac discovered something about himself. No, not that he sucks... well that too... But I mean something so deep and dramatic you'll [del]cry[/del] cream yourself to sleep every night. Maybe you will understand once you've watched the video. Maybe. Hm, looks like a mix of BC2 and MW2, plus some other junk thrown in. But don't judge a book by the first 5 seconds you read, right? I've never played the killzone games though, i've always wanted to..

RANK UP! SEARGEANT SEARGEANT MASTER SEARGEANT SEARGENT c/ and the row row fight the power scene was awesome. oh, and one more thing, the game looks fun, but It looks really tough to find enemies around the place.

I love how the fact that he got killed seconds later ended the match.

The Killzone 3 multiplayer is one of the most solid and entertaining console MP shooters ive ever played. I know this my opinion, but seriously, everything seems really balanced, the game modes are great, weapons and sounds are great, classes are nicely varied, controls and feel is perfect (has that real weighty feel that KZ is known for, but makes it more responsive and jerky yet perfects it) even the killstreaks are nothing ridiculous or overpowered. The flying gun drones or turrets for example can be shot down with just 1 mag or less. Oh and the melee kills, brutally brilliant and well animated, and dont suffer from the 'fly at them from 50 metres away and stab them' syndrome from COD. It's probably the highlight of the video as well :3: It's so brutal

I downloaded the beta on my brother's ps3, but I am pretty bad at it considering I haven't really played on consoles since 2008. It's fun, though I can't stand the 30 fps snowy-whatthefuckisgoingon moments

Sadly, he's gotten a lot better now. He can kill the bots now on the easiest difficulity so watch out. :v:

Every time I look at KZ2 or 3 I am filled with jealousy and wonder at how incredible it looks. So atmospheric. I might even say more atmospheric than Shadow of the Colossus (if that's even possible)

For a FPS, however, it was impressive as hell

It was fun playing it for a bit, but when the people who doesn't know how to teamplay appears it gets really bad. Me being bad at killing stayed 2nd place for the last matches with my friend at 1st.

The only thing I don't like about the Beta is the map. I think its just the layout and the constant snow in your face that gets me. Everything else seems pretty damn solid though.
