This kinda bridges the gap between Hardware/Software and Creationism Corner, so I put it here because I prefer the artistic view of these kinds of things.
So, I recently heard about Wacom's new product, Inkling.

It's basically a pen and a sensor. The sensor attaches to your sketchbook/notebook/whatever you draw on.

You can create layers via a button on the sensor, and the entire drawing is saved in a vector format that can be imported into whatever image software you use.
Files can also be saved in JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, SVG & PDF for use with other applications.
You can export sketches with layers directly from the Inkling Sketch Manager software into Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (CS3+), Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (2011+) or Autodesk Sketchbook Designer.
You can save up to 2GB of information in the sensor's internal memory. That's pretty much a shit-ton when you're talking about sketches.
Fully unboxed w/ case for pen, sensor, and other accessories:

I see this and infinite possibilities spring to mind.
For those of you that are straight inkers (no pencil sketching first), this could streamline the creative process to the point of an almost seamless workflow.
Personally I use pencil first, and I'm still absolutely excited for this. I imagine running an ink line over my sketch and completely bypassing the scanner all together!
What do you think? Is this some bullshit gadget, or could you see yourself using and loving it?
Discuss.

I'll be updating the OP some as I get pics and info.
The pen on my tablet slips around a lot since I'm used to paper. This would be great.
