Just wondering, does this look like a good cardio plan for losing some chub?

ya its good , but if youre looking to not be a fatass anymore you should really focus on your diet

p much this
besides running 5ks is really gay.
Get into sprinting.
I'm pretty short, don't think sprinting would be my thing.
Plenty of sprinters are short guys. Usain Bolt is one of the only tall/lanky guys that has been successful in sprinting.
Regardless, you don't have to be fast to sprint. Sprints work practically your entire body, you'll burn fat off much faster doing them.

5K is nothing really.
Not being able to run 10K with good time is gay, not being able to run only 5k with good time is extremely gay.
But yeah, sprinting or HIT would be better for burning fats.
No I just mean jogging/running in general is gay.
Especially long distance.

Jogging is gay, running is okay. (IT RHYMES!)

Just to highlight the difference between gay and not gay at all

except those shoes on the sprinter are really really gay
[editline]7th March 2011[/editline]
but he makes up for it with explosive badassness so he's 88.5% less gay than gay.
There is a huge difference between a marathoners physique and long distance running.
The physique is gay, I agree, but running feels good man; but hey, just because you run once in a while doesn't mean you're a marathoner.
Even those sprinters run long distances once in a while in their trainings.

never tried it but it all makes sense, you do have to ease into it, but it doesn't have to be THAT small of an increase each workout unless you're extremely out of shape
the best way to lose fat, is to eat less and healthier, and do high intensity cardio
you should try swimming, it's a lot easier on the joints than running, and it is always independent of weather conditions if you are near an indoor pool

Rather a combination of both.

^that.
Swimming is good for the whole body.
The most important thing is diet. You can run for days but if you eat like shit all the time it will be moot.

I dont see how running is gay, it's a big part of many athelete's workout like boxers, you could call skipping ropes for girls but no one gives a fuck, it gets you fitter.
I don't find running very fun, but I understand its importance. Cardio is just as important as strength, I've lost count of how many jacked meathead dudes step into the MMA gym I go to and get exhausted after 30 seconds of rolling. Hell, I used to be the same way.
Running is exactly like weightlifting in my eyes. I strive to better my progress in terms of time, cardiovascular endurance etc.
It's not different than WL, so anyone who says it's boring never really ran before. Seriously, I used to rip my ass out on the treadmill, going as hard as I can.
Best feeling in the world after you finish running.

No it's nothing like weight lifting. One is lifting heavy objects the other is running. lol
[editline]11th March 2011[/editline]
Also lol wat "someone who says it's boring never really ran before"
How do you even qualify that. bro you've never REALLY ran till you've RAN man
I've ran for practically my entire life and I still say it's boring.
Running is boring, racing is fun.

I can't see how my grammar is actually relevant to the content of my post. Are you trying to achieve a conversation or mock my self-taught English?
Also, I was even't trying to change your mind as you seem thick headed. You haven't really [b]read[/b] my post, so why bother even responding?

I guess it depends on the person. If you feel only competetion makes it fun, then you don't really know how to push yourself.
I get so tired and focused not to die on the treadmill, times passes pretty quickly. Even though,
even I, get bored with it sometimes. That's why you run outdoors - hills etc.
Your assumptions are retarded. I've pushed myself to the point of collapsing/not being able to walk afterward. Didn't make running fun. Running becomes boring once you realize how much fun competition running is. Going back to just running for fitness after knowing what it's like to be hauling ass for 100m at a regional track meet, everyone neck and neck with a crowd roaring, makes everything seem bland.
sorry but running =/= weight lifting
weight lifting builds muscle
running for fitness mostly burns it.
[editline]11th March 2011[/editline]
also what maverick said
Also let's clarify something here:
Running is not the same as sprinting
running is for bitches
Sprinting is for badasses who want tank hamstrings
I don't want to be athletic, I just want to get my diet on track and combine that with a less sedentary life style to get my body shape back.

Yours are assumptions as well. I haven't tossed your thougts about running, I even feel the same. Both here are opinions and depend on the person. You seem to try and push the idea running itself is fun, but again, it's your opinion. I accepted yours, yet you seem to fail to accept mine.
So, to sum, my "assumptions" are not retarded, as they're not assumptions but actual feelings and experiences.
I didn't make assumptions.
[quote]If you feel only competetion makes it fun, then you don't really know how to push yourself.[/quote]
Assumes that people that don't find running fun have never pushed themselves.
