Welcome to the samples thread!
Good or bad samples (espcially drums) can completely make or break a song, and it's often hard to find good quality samples which fit the criteria you're looking for. I think it'd be a good idea to have a thread where we can share our own samples, website where you can get samples for free, suggest good sample packs for certain types of music, discuss the samples you used in certain songs, ask eachother where to get a specific sample etc etc.
One great sample pack I have is the Vengeance essential house drums, there's three volumes now. It's got a ridiculous number of good sounds for house music and that sort of thing, lots of good percussions I've used for lots of different pieces too.
Another good site for finding samples is http://www.freesound.org/, there are thousands of different recordings. A lot are not very great but there are some good drum samples and things, gunshots, and a lot of great ambient sounds like birds and so on. Lots of the drums are low quality but can be used really well to layer ontop of some core drums to get a great sound.
I'm currently looking for a good drum and bass drum sample pack, if anyone has any suggestions?
Sample away.
I need them accapellas
Start of by googling it, then youtubing it. If you can't find it doing that, then find and instrumental version and use this method to extract it. Alternatively if you just want drums remove a low pass filter does wonders.
Apparently there's another method involving trimming off the "edges" of the sound as the vocals are almost always dead center. However, so is the bass drum and bass usually, although this can be remove with eq'ing like above.

Really good site, lots of good accapellas.
I really like looperman.com for original accapellas. I really like working with someones lyrics or rapping that hasn't been in a song beforehand. They also have lots of royalty free loops, samples and plugins.
Just sample from 70's 80's song if you want to create a good track.

For the drums, just buy vintage drum machines and tr-909.
Add more bass and compression.
Veh have good drum samples but they are most likely to be used in other songs too.
For vocals, ask someone you know to sing and record for you. Produce and master the track! Share on your facebook, this forum or any other sites! Get played on BBC radio 1.
Typical, just buy a Korg KP3 and start sampling from songs and save them on your computer. Make sure you start when the kick drum starts and then count how long you want the sample to be.
