My Orange Parrot and Texan Cichlid had babies, any aquatic hobbiest on the forums?

So my Orange Parrot and my Texan Cichlid mated (I'm assuming its the two of them since they're the only South american fish I have in my tank)
From what i understand it's fairly rare to have a parrot that is fertile.

Any enthusiast on the forum? they had babies a few weeks ago but they all ended up dying for some reason or another, i didn't have time to seperate them and there weren't very many, this time theirs a lot, and both the father and mother appear to be protective of them, I'm curious if i should separate them or not, with either a divider or a small netted insert.
(you can also see the only electric yellow cichlid baby i had that survived when they gave birth, i didn't seperate them since they seemed to have a good hiding spot and they were doing well and they're not really rare so i didn't feel like it was worth the trouble or time to separate them. Pretty sure my Screaming Catfish kept eating them too.)
Jesus christ what the fucking hell is a screaming catfish

It's a cat fish that makes a wrenching "Scream" noise when you take it out of water. He always hides in a cave that i have in the back of the tank and only comes out to fuck shit up in the tank and be a stubborn asshole to the other fish when it's feeding time, the parrot and texan attack him all the time but he gives no fucks.
That's terrifying
Why would you have that

The one I have is about twice as big and makes more of a screeching noise. rather than a croak noise.
I would try getting a divider if you want to raise the babies and sell them or something. My friend's dad kept cichlids in a 75 gallon, and the convict cichlids he had always had babies, but the other fish would eat them and he was only able to raise 2 or 3 of the 50 bajillion convicts that hatched since he had no way to separate them from the others. :v:

I love raphaels. Most annoying thing about them is that they will 100% of the time get stuck in the fish net. You try to be nice and help and wind up bleeding.
Asshole of a fish.
Seperate them, even if its just for not letting them being eaten when you coul've prevented it. It's like being a cruel god, just for fish.
I love how the babies are all gathered within that white structure :3
WTF No one else notices theres a skull in there??
