Man charged with slapping loud kid in Kent theater
An Auburn man accused of smacking a loud 10-year-old at a Kent movie theater could face months in jail if convicted of the felony assault charge now filed against him.
King County prosecutors contend 21-year-old Yong Hyun Kim knocked out one of the boy’s teeth after the child and several other youths refused to quiet down and stop throwing popcorn in April.
According to charging documents, Kim admitted to hitting the boy and appeared ashamed when confronted by police with the boy’s age. Kim allegedly said he thought the boy was an adult when he slapped him in the face.
The Associated Press reports the incident occured during a screening of "Titanic" in 3-D.
I am sure everyone had their fair share of annoying fuckheads.
Good on him.
Someone had to do it.
How can slapping someone knock one of their teeth out?
Deserved a slap anywho, I cant stand it when people ruin films by throwing stuff and being loud.

Maybe too much candy? I wouldn't trust the teeth of these kids today.
Why do people insist on taking their retarded kids who can't shut up to the cinema?
God, I fucking can't stand kids like that. And I bet the little shithead is all smug about it now.
Wow FP I thought you were going to go up and arms because a kid got slapped by a grown up
This is why I go to the movies in between classes, no fucking kids around.
Because clearly the right thing to do is take justice into your own hands and knock a tooth out rather than letting the staff throw them out.
You don't come between a man and Titanic 3D

When kids are around 10 they might still be losing their baby teeth. Probably knocked out one that was already loose.
I hope he isn't punished too severely for this. Humans are humans after all and we all know how infuriating it is to be provoked, especially by mocking teenagers/children. He definitely should of had staff remove them, yet at the same time the theatre should be better supervised.

The tooth that fell out was probably a temporary tooth that was loose anyway. You have to slap really fucking hard to knock someones teeth out otherwise.
Besides, he didn't do it because he wanted to 'take justice into his own hands' (wtf)
“I got so mad that it just happened,” Kim told police, according to charging documents.

Oh no that'll happen by the end of this page or by the next page, it's only a matter of time.
Hope that will slap some sense into the kid
*edit: Teeth got slapped out due to slapper being a korean martial arts master

The guy is only 21, and he didn't beat the kid down for hours. He just slapped him once for refusing to shut the hell up and stop throwing shit. The kid deserved it.
He's taking one for the team.
Reminds me of this

did he at least ask the kid to shut up before hitting him?
if he didn't then the kid could make the defence that it was an unprovoked attack
... or something
any case i'm on the side of that man little shits deserve it.
Good on the guy for having self discipline.

Cinema staff suck dick man they don't ever through anyone out, ever.
My friend worked at a cinema one summer many years ago. He became the citys hero because he had a habit of kicking loud babies (and their mothers/fathers of course) and kids out of the theatre.
I hate loud children. Good on him.

He is the hero we all deserve.
Goddamn, some woman brought her child into the cinema during "The Avengers".
Cried for half the bloody movie before she left. Why the fuck do you bring a baby to an action movie knowing full well it's going to be loud and sudden?
Why do people insist on taking their retarded kids who can't shut up to the cinema?
the environment that fosters such shit stains isn't exactly one of sound judgement.
Missing the full story here. Maybe the kid has a loose tooth or just got unlucky, or perhaps the dude smacked the kid really hard. Can't tell.
haha yeah take that you little punk!!! PROPS to this HERO for standing up for theater goers everywhere, standing up to the MAN even if in this case that man was a small child and this psycho piece of trash decided his shitty movie was worth enough to assault a child. hey FP it's child abuse even if you think it's justified! especially if it's someone elses kid
would've been totally fine if it was the kid's parent though right
i hate screaming kids in movies too but come on
tell the parents to control their kids or go to the manager for a refund and come back, maybe kick those little shits out to boot
no need to slap a child or even an adult for inconveniencing you
[editline]23rd May 2012[/editline]
as a movie theater employee who has had to ask parents to remove their screaming babies and toddlers from a movie theater, the ones who don't comply with you are cheap and didn't want to pay for a babysitter
i asked this one woman politely if she could remove her 1 year old from the auditorium until it had calmed down, she got annoyed and said "I paid 12 dollars for this ticket, i ain't leavin"
well that's fine and dandy but what you dont realize is so did the 40 other people in the movie
theyre usually shit parents too, you wouldnt believe how many times we've had people just change their kids diaper right in the fucking middle of the movie just so they wouldn't miss a minute of whatever
It was titanic, come on, I would scream if I was forced to watch it too
