Looking at DIY Career idea's. Would like some advice/input.

So I'm considering going through an apprenticeship course over a four year period so I could become a Journeyman Electrician. Currently however, I'm being very indecisive if I want to either take up being an Electrician, or jump into Auto Mechanics. I'm also educated in computer hardware, and might want to know any improvement I could provide any shop for a DIY product makeover. All the shops here seem to carry all the wrong parts when it comes to computers, so where I could start on this would be nice for a buddy of mine's shop.
Just would appreciate any help regarding auto mechanics compared to being an Electrician, and the help of where to start when trying to find new stock when it comes to computer hardware and etc.
The best thing you can do for yourself is look for any electrician companies and auto shops near you and see if you can do a job shadow. A job shadow is where you basically do your apprenticeship for a day and you can decide for yourself what one you like most. All you need to do is either call or walk in and talk to the manager and ask and most of the time they are willing.
