Fair enough, the 'how do you cope' bit made me think it was like a struggle to get through the day without it.
When I'm bored I usually go hunting for old games to play for nostalgia reasons, I think my last triumph was the original Tomb Raider. If you're not a gamer this could be books, films etc. anything that brings back good memories.

I got through pretty much 13 years being sober, and there was nothing boring about that. He shouldn't need drugs to entertain him. Yeah, sure, they're fun, but that shouldn't be your main source of entertainment.

Occasional drugs > Constant sobriety
I would much rather not be sober but I've decided to take a month of sobriety (well, at least a month of no smoking). I've gone through 4 days and though I have thought a couple times, right about the time I was chilling with my buddy and he was smoking, "smoking would be nice right now". I have yet to have any urges, even when my buddy was smoking in front of me, or be "bored" to the point of complaint. I have gone out and DONE SHIT. I have left my house and occupied myself.
If you can't live your life without drugs then you seriously need to reconsider your life, period end of discussion.
Drugs are meant to enrich your life, they are not meant to be your life.
