I used this for checking what's on tv and it's fab! It had links to streams of channels of the BBC + ITV channels but they failed to work as they linked me to the actually BBC website. Now, the sites had a makeover and now the channels stream ON the website at a reasonable resolution including:
BBC One
BBC Two
ITV 1
Channel 4
Five
ITV 2
Five USA
E4
ITV 3
ITV 4
MORE 4
BBC Three
BBC FOUR
Dave
Fiver
Film4
BBC News
Channel 4 +1
E4+1
Dave ja vu
ITV 2 +1
Music 4
Yesterday
More 4 +1
ITV 3 +1
Film 4 +1
Sky News
Sky Sports News
Sky 3
TMF
Virgin 1
Virgin 1 +1
It's like freeview on your pc easy! Well, if your online. I know you could tell me you could get this with some channels but I could only find the BBC + ITV channels. This website shows the streams in a channel grid.

Change aspect ratio, and to activate that grid whilst watching you click those small squares at the bottom. No lag!
EDIT: Thanks for reminding me mike, only avaliable if you pay the tv license fee which means it's only avaliable in the UK.
iPlayer is still better for BBC channels though, offers subtitles etc
Just clicked on ITV1 and this popped up:
I have a tv.
Obviously yeah, but I mean if you can't be bothered getting freeview and your on facepunch or facebook, etc or no TV in room.
There's also http://tvcatchup.com/, which this seems to use for its streams.

Damn, I wanted to watch some British TV.
It's funny how you guys have to pay a TV license to own a TV.
"But it's to pay for BBC."
I know that already. Still silly.

it's funny how you have adverts and can't have truly original independent programming without massive financial backing and would never be able to pull of channels like bbc4 and bbc radio 3

Someone needs to make a standalone software that automattically uses this website, or maybe a a browser thats just used for this website
It's quite clearly the TVCatchup player, whether it's in conjunction or not is beyond me.

It's better though. TVcatchup has a dumb interruptive ad.
Love this site. My freeview recently decided it didnt want to work anymore, and this filled its place nicely!
