Iron Sky is, in short, a film about Nazis who left for the moon in 1945, and are returning in 2018 with a full attack force. Not only is it that awesome of a concept,
the producers are following what reminds me of an indie game development business model. They are very open with their community, and take their ideas, demands,
and input to help ensure the quality and enjoyment of the film. For example, in the first and second trailer, there are Panzer tank-looking flying saucers flying from the
moon to Earth. In the third trailer, the flying saucers are being deployed from space zeppelins, almost like dropships from the Roger Young in Starship Troopers. This is
probably a bright idea somebody had that the devs really liked.
This video explains their business model.

I haven't seen a thread for this, and Searching "iron sky" comes up with nothing. I feel like this is something Facepunch should really know about, so I hope
you all enjoyed watching the trailers and whatnot.

The developers are Finnish, and have made a previous film titled "Star Wreck". They're obviously working hard on Iron Sky, and I feel like they deserve the support.
Hopefully this was somewhat interesting. Have a good night.
This'll be vastly overrated and will end up being an average movie however because of the hype people will think it's terrible.
Calling it.
Trailer 2 is badass.
It will be a silly movie and probably a cult classic. Nonetheless, the design and concept is pretty cool.
This hasn't been released yet? I remember when I first saw this in late 2008 or around 2009
I also remember the Facepunch thread about this :downs:

It's being released on April 4th next year, which also happens to be my birthday. Now I just have to find a theater that will play it...
speaking of this whats that movie about the Germans in the tiger tank fighting off Russian demons?

Panzer 88. Another movie to look out for is Harkor 44.
This movie has like 4 or 5 threads already.
Welp, looks like my capital is getting a screening, too bad I can't get there.
I think the bigger idea is HOW they funded and made the movie then the actuall movie itself
This is more a hobby like said in the first video then a real production.
Even if the movie sucks hard i will still want to see it just to know that millions of people worked on this movie.

Fits the movie just perfect
came from the Iron Sky premiere. Awesome. It's full oh hints and jokes you'll only get if you saw "der untergang ". Every major nation is made fun of and the best:
It has really awesome special effects and design.
And even a goddamn message in the end.
e being German may play a part too.
If you can go pay for it, don't pirate. The makers deserve it.

If you like intelligent silly but not "lol so random" humour this is your movie.
It draws a lot entertainment from the scenes and settings alone but on top of that it's full of hints and homages and parody.
We have an active thread for this, you didn't have to bump this one
