He takes a while to get going but it gives an appreciation of the various sounds it can produce. I want one.
I'm scared.
That is so cool. When he gets playing, it sounds like some strange synthetic cello. I would totally love the chance to play around with something like that.
god that sounds so insanely cool, il take 20
What I wouldn't give to live where that dude lives.
-snip- actually nevermind, rewatched and realized what I said was stupid
I think I need a new pant.
The music was great, but the view from his windows were magical.
It's a mechanical musical instrument, not an analog synth. The sounds and their effects are directly produced by real materials. Where is the synthesis?
I do like the scythe/harmonic sound it had, though. Really cool. 92/10 would listen to more.
That was fucking cool, although the preview was slightly misleading :v:

If Jodorowsky ended up making dune, this would be the soundtrack.
As crowbarb said, there are already "analog synths", that's how synthesizers were produced before digital came along.
I do love this instrument though! What's amazing is that there's no post-processing or effects on the recording at all. I found it hard to believe, but it must be the super long spring creating those throbbing echos. Love a bit of spring reverb.
If I ever get to be in a psychedelic band I will make sure to aquire one of these
Sounds like a sitar on steroids
Now imagine your worst hangover, with your neighbour playing this instrument, paper thin walls.
Reminds me of some music from BattleStar Galactica
